It doesn't seem like the sort of thing that would be true but it really is true. After an auld lang lay off, I update the Rose of Nagarythe.
Rose Guard, nearly ready.

It's been a while since there was any progress but that's mine. I may yet do some work on it.

Re: My predictions for new DE book
Slaves come up in every Dark Elves wishlist thread. I hope they'll never be in the list. I wonder if we won't get a Manticore chariot to mirror the Skycutter? They could call it Night Skiff or something bloody silly like that. Monstrous cav could perhaps be Manticore cav? That might be fun, as long ...

Re: High Elves Book Containing an Indication for Allies in 9
Why would we want to ally? We have elves, pirates, ninjas, dragons, dinosaurs and naked women. None of our competitors can make this claim. As far as awesome is concerned, we lack only helicopters and skateboards.

Re: The old all mounted theme - questions and input
I ask because I have converted a HE chariot to Cold One Chariot, and used the horses for Dark Riders. I bought second hand Dark Riders, which eased the pain slightly, plus I bought 8 extra horses as bitz, back when folk were making Lion Chariots from hell to breakfast and wondering what to do with t...

Re: The old all mounted theme - questions and input
I think the only thing to bear in mind is that, in the absence of up-to-date models for Dark Riders and Chariots, and with the Cold One Knights being what they are, assembling and painting an all-cav DE army can be highly tedious. You've done all-infantry Empire, which is a smegload of models, but w...

Re: DE conversions from new HE stuff
I do like the looks of those Shadow Warrior helmets for DE conversions. Now all I need is a neighbour who wants to build Maiden Guard.

Continuing on from the game thread... It's funny you should have worried about K Tom. I can't recall her ever directly threatening Phalx before the fight in the pub. I've just been thinking back on all we've done. I still think of K's greatest moment as when she set fire to the prison. She was blood...

I'll miss this, in the first year, clicking on Group 22 was like unwrapping a birthday present every night [in those days it was every night too, sometimes twice]. That was probably when all the best rp was done too, we were all trying to find out who our characters were, running them against each o...

That's pretty neat, and fairly accurate too, in that the armour looks pretty much like it should. Interesting interpretation of winged helm. I like it. But now for the bad news, at least for the group it is. I have been accepted into an engineering degree and simply won't have the time for this anym...

K's little manoeuvre went even better than she had hoped. Her trip sent both thugs sprawling, and when they got up, they both apologised. She gave them a little smile and nod to finish the part she had played and rounded on Phalx, who still looked smug and dangerous. She skipped forward and grabbed ...

K had watched V work in the mirrors behind the bar. The two losers were far too drunk to be more than a one punch concern, but the faker might just be a difficult customer. K had a bit of a feeling that once he saw a little blood he would stop talking big. She knew a little about petty crooks, brave...

This is a somewhat separate question, but if assault weapons are not used very frequently in crimes, then why do people jump on them as the first thing that needs to be gotten rid of? Because they are for assault. I just don't see how any private citizen can claim the need to own an assault rifle. ...

Quick question for the Australian and UK members, has violent crime gone down significantly since gun bans in your country or is it about the same? And are the illegal weapons still available and on black markets and such (as with much of the IRA's weapons). 1st answer ; the man who designed our gu...

K knew about three things about this mission ; she knew that she didn't know ships, that she didn't know sailing, and that she didn't know sailors. She knew her companions well enough though, and she felt all she need do was to wait, watch, listen, and be ready to make haste or death. The others too...

Upon receiving the final meagre instructions from Sevro K stalked off with the others in silence, musing what she might do about it all. never been to sea, didn't know what she might need, felt fairly sure that all their gold would not buy them a ship so they would have to steal one, and sail like b...

I don't know that much about game cbuilding but I would expect a different unit skin would be a different unit skin whether it's a change from blue spearman to red spearman, or horse to cold one. I expect you'd need roughly the same amount of graphics files for Total Warhammer but it would simply ta...

After her bit of water K felt nothing but rather stiff. She stood a bit ginger, leant on her sword, and began to move forward. The walk home was long, and rather painful. There were blisters. The walk did not improve them. Her joints creaked and pinched. But she could still move. She found home as b...
