Never ever ever put a Sorceress on a Cold One. It will only take one turn where she sits there does nothing and she is dead. Either on foot in a unit or on foot in some trees. I have mine mounted on a DS for speed.

As a 40k player of Eldar, I can tell you the game is much less fullfilling than fantasy. ( IMHO ) I really hope they balance the game out. Chaos is or can be a good army however most 40k players seems to only want to play them as a beat stick army.

You loose more than just killing blow with a GW on a mounted character. You will only also gain +1 SRT instead of the +2 from the DoDP.

According to 7ed Mounted Characters with a regular GW will only gain +1 Str rather tnan the normal +2.

Its not a huge loss but it could come into play.

WW can move and fire and whats really neat about them is their weapons do not count as linked. That means you are rolling 6 Str 6 shots at 36 inches each. Also WW have the special abilty of Scout. They are a fragile but very nice unit to have. Massive firepower with scatter lasers.

How bad are you losing combat? Remember even though we have a high leadership if you are loosing by 5 that takes that 8 down to a 3 not many armies will make that test.
