You faced a list that seemed a lot softer than what I face. Here, I play against an army that has 3x20 Slayers, 8 Doomseekers, Goblin Hewer, then 4 characters. Everything within range of BSB(or it was something else) had a 5+ ward against shooting, and MR1(or 2...)

Not a bad idea. I will think about that. One of the things I would be worried about is the frenzy, I think my opponents would be able to exploit that easily. I'll see what I can do.

I think that you should use lvl 1 sorceress as a scroll caddy. Then maybe add some corsairs or rxb on one unit of Dark Riders. One Noble is going to be placed in spearmen unit and what about the rest of your heroes? I made a minor mistake, the rxb-armed Noble is actually mounted on a Dark Steed. I ...

Heh, I've had to deal with them once so far. The battle plan against Chaos is to lead Chaos Warriors/Knights around for the first 4 turns, kill EVERY support unit, then throw as many units humanly possible at each unit.

Normally I play with no magic, so having that Sorceress is such a huge bonus to me that magic shouldn't be a problem unless I manage to play a Slann.

2000 points for 2005 Seattle GT

This is the list I am bringing to the Seattle GT. In the games I have playtested, the list has worked perfectly. Against both Lizardmen and Vampire Counts, I did the best. The Noble on foot would join the unit of 24 Spearmen, which creates my anchor. I realized I would need a large anchor after fail...

That's too bad, but at least people are showing a fight! Disregarding your apparent bad luck regarding the Executioners and High Sorceress, I would say your biggest mistake was going into the game thinking you would lose. Keep that out of your mind next time, the things racing about in ones mind aff...

Just a couple things to point out-

When the Boar Chariot charged your Ogres in the flank, it wouldn't have caused a panic test. The charging unit would need to be US5+ in order to do do.

Same with capturing table quarters, you need US5 in order to do so.

With your Highbon on Dragon, did you have him charge the flank/rear of the Chaos Warriors, or did you have him charge the front? That could be a vital reason why he is fleeing so much

You could always take a box of Dark Elf Warriors, convert them into merc's... That would probably lessen the harsh remarks about a DoW unit.

I have Ogres in my Dark Elf army, so I placed three Beastmasters on the movement tray to prod them on, worked like a charm.

I've been running mine with what everyone else says, but a halberd instead of the lance & shield. Thinking about switching, though. He does well enough with the Halberd, but I think the lance might give him that little extra punch. I chose the halberd because it's better if he gets stuck in com...

Generally when I face Beastmen, I keep a few key things in mind: 1.) Their leadership isn't the best. I will focus enough shots on one unit at a time, just enough to force a panic test. Then I move about two units down the line, and force another panic test. By using this method of selection, you ga...

-Noble
Heavy Armor
Shield
Sea Dragon Cloak
Lance
Repeater Crossbow

Generally, that's the only way I equip mine. I use two in my no-magic army. If you have the points to spare, try giving him Enchanted Shield or Ring of Hotek

Go with Drakken's advice. The heavy armor, sea dragon cloak, shield, and lance combination will do perfectly fine in such a small army. I use the same noble in my 2k point tournament army, and he does a spectacular job.

Although I have rarely used a Manticore in my army, I have come to the conclusion that is definately worth taking. Corsairs are actually worse when charged. They lose two attacks instead of one(Assuming Spearmen attacked with spears). They would be pretty much better off if they were to be in a prolonged combat(attackins first more often then not). Overall, a unit of 20 Spearmen would do much better pointswise a...
