To be honest I play both as and when the mood takes me. Fantasy however is my passion. 40k gives me more opponents however.

Thanks for the report. Looks pretty comprehensive and good exploitation of his early deployment error.
Pretty lucky with the Swordmasters, but it is situations like that, that can give everyone a source of entertainment. Don't forget to bring it up next time you face them.

Hello all, looking forward to getting involved and having some fun.
Now I have just to invest some time in a fair amount of catch up reading to get to know the groups style.

Re: Starter Airbrushes
I agree with Enkiel, I find priming and certain techniques fairly easy with an airbrush, however it really depends on the size of your models. It gives you a fair degree more control than trying to use a spray can. Generally I use it more with my Eldar flyers and tanks, than any fantasy models. +1 o...

Good work, the free hand is great on the banners.
Liking the use of varying degrees of height to give the units more dynamic posing, plus I am sure it helps with the ranking.
Look forward to some more soon.

Very nice choice of colours. Makes them stand out from the more common shades of purple.
Look forward to seeing more.

Yes long time vet of warhammer, although 3rd edition was the time when I really started to get hooked. Mainly as I was able to afford to buy the models rather than playing with cut out paper units

Re: Warlocks Oh-Pee at 1000 ?
Certainly a possibility, however looking at the rest of the list, one small block of Infantry is going to get left behind, and is that really going to change the perception that you are playing a fast cav list? If you are looking to tone it down a bit, have you considered dropping one of the units o...

Re: Warlocks Oh-Pee at 1000 ?
Ideally you would not be engaging RnF with the Cloaked Peg master. He hits hard and fast, and is a good chaff and war machine hunter. I would only be charging him into a grinder without any other viable targets left to hunt. If you plan to use him first and foremost against combat blocks, then I wou...

Re: Saint of M's Picture Blog: The Whole Army (Pic Heavy)
Personally I would go with a mix of orange and yellow threads, possibly even white. What I would suggest is to take an flat piece of plastic and experiment on it first, to get an idea of the effects you are able to achieve, use different colours in different places. This should give you some ideas o...

Medium Cavalry - viable?
I have been considering running an all mounted list at 2,400 - 3,000 points. Now whilst I like playing DR in their traditional role, I really don't believe 6 or 7 units of five models is really the way I want to fill the core. So what does that leave me if I want to continue with an all mounted list...

Re: Saint of M's Picture Blog: The Whole Army (Pic Heavy)
There are a number of ways to paint marble, and a fair number of tutorials on the subject. Generally I would go with a flat base colour in this case a deep red. Next get a small sponge and lightly dab a brighter shade. This should give a you a fairly decent 2 tone base to work on. You can then add a...

So having just moved house and in to a completely new area of the UK. Bournemouth to Newcastle-upon-Tyne, I have decided I should start to involve myself in the world of the Druchii more, as a way of interacting with others. So I have been lurking on these forums for years now (2007) and absorbed a ...
