I like it, I believe Heavy Metal did some 'black and blue' druchii models in the army book, page 77 for druchii warrior examples, 83 for a couple of blue executioners and bottom left of page 84 for a black guard in nice blue plate, so I would advise having a look at those examples if you want to see...

I like the list, with a solid infantry core, a little bit of cavalry and a good ol' hydra, but I think you have too much in characters, well over a third of your army is in characters, 2 of which are very fragile and one of which is going to be swanning off on his own (I assume) leaving you with a v...

yup, spearmen can't get a parry save, but with shields do get 5+ armour, personally I never bother with shields for spearmen

1) I can't see any reason why they would not be able to cast as a point of note, which character is retired to the back ranks is chosen by the person who issued the challenge, so you may refuse a challenge, but you don't get to pick your spellcaster as the one who retires, and as spellcasters are us...

that phoenix looks really cool, you might want to think about possibly adding some red highlights at the tip of the flames, or maybe give it a Baal red wash? The runes on your summoning circle look great, I think a black outline on the red circles you have would make them stand out and look more bol...

http://i750.photobucket.com/albums/xx141/NathanG_photos/Meteorssummoningcircle.jpg this is the sort of paintscheme I had in mind as I (not very clearly) tried to describe in my first post. Sorry it's so messy but it was done in paint, the yellowy-white around the outside is the halo of light the ci...

I'm not very talented at painting but lighting wise for the light around the summoning circle I think a halo effect fits the bill, colourwise for the halo I think a yellow or creamy white would be best. Probably the best technique for this is to start with a really light dryrushing or dappling of sk...

Good Moooorning Naggaroth!

hey all, I've been lurking around this site for about a year now and finally decided to join up. I've been playing Dark elves for a couple of years now, I started off in warhammer with orcs and goblins, but then I saw the druchii models and was instantly converted, or should I say corrupted? I can f...

hey everyone, been lurking for a while and finally decided to sign up. I've written several articles for a BFG webzine called warprift before and since you're thinking of starting up the herald again I thought I'd put my name up for consideration, for my own amusement I've written some rule sets for...
