Painting Program

Post by Anaryin »

All you Illustrators, graphic designers, web artists, etc etc, can you give me a hand? My gf loves playing with pictures and stuff and I'd like to give her a program that matches her imagination. So, what's the best program for photo editing around?

Download Adobe Photoshop 7.0

Hands down, best ever!

:D

Personally, I really like it.... she may like something else.

Indeed Adobe Photoshop is one of the best programs for photo-editing but if she is new to these things perhaps she will find it easier to start with Corel Photopaint.
Both programs are powerful -though Photoshop is more "professional"- and in fact by the same company since Adobe is part of Corel years now.

If you search the web perhaps you will find even easier (simple) programs for starters that get the job done without special knowledge.
Good luck.

the newest version of Adobe is Photoshop CS, if you want 3d Modeling as well as picture editing, then i would try and get a copy of 3d studio max 7.

it's quite hard to get to grips with, but when you do, you can get some amazing results.

Yeah Adobe Photoshop will do the trick, tho Painter is'nt to bad either.
I work with Photoshop for 12 years now deu my profession but I still
discover new features allmost every day. When using photoshop the
best tool to work with will be a Wacom drawing tablet. These ar'nt cheap
(± 200 euro for an a5 size tablet) but it's the only way to prefent RSI and
you can acctually draw with it instead of "click-look-a-dot" with the brush tool :D.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. I am glad if I can help.

Yes, with Photoshop you can do either.

I find the program to be quite marvelous personally.
With a little time, patience and support She'll crank out wicked photos in no time.
