which Xman or Superhero / villain would you be and why?

Post by Kinslayer »

I was having this talk with some people before and i thought id post it up as a random question just to see what kind of replies came in, if you could be a superhero or villain or one of the Xmen, anything like that, who and why?

For me, Pyro, mainly because i love playing with fire and am a bit of a crazy jackass with fire. Bonfires with mates up the woods, great times. Id love to be able to control the flames - as a weapon and as a way of saving people from burning houses ;)

Juggernaught. Pretty much unstoppable once he gets going, a helmet to block psychic attacks, physical invulnerability, and strong enough to make the Hulk* look like your grandma. Nuff said.

* Ok, I realize that this is an exaggeration, and that technically no one is stronger than the Hulk, because as he gets angrier he gets stronger, so his strength is limitless. However the green dude does have a sort of "normal range" he is usually in, and at that point Juggernaught is actually stronger.

Unfortunately only three types of metal are significanly magnetic. You have to mess around with subatomic levels before anything else will work. Of course, if you can do that then you're able to pretty much just mutate reality at a whim.

Still, Magneto has one of the most badass AND logical reasons for his set of views.

Night Crawler.

I'd be Gambit or wolvereine. Gambit is a bd ass, and Wolverine is a bad ass with an inistructable metalic scelaton, the best regen in history, and the claws (the side burns don't hurt either.

Mr. Sinister.

He's a vilain, any Druchii can relate to that, and he's not just born "super", he's literally as self-made man. Plus, it looks like nothing can get rid of him.

I'd have to say Iron Man. In the recent Iron Man film when he burst out of the wall in the terrorist camp an image of a Terminator with an Assault Cannon came to mind. And Venom cause he is awesome...

Exodus. He has perhaps the widest range of powers when the writers make use of all of them. Excellent backstory in my opinion and is generally an interesting villain. One of my favourite stories is the Bloodties crossover where he takes on the X Men and the Avengers and very nearly wins at the same time as controlling a mob of mutants and using a barrier to crush the island of Genosha. He even takes a mental blast from Charles Xavier, widely regarded as one of the most powerful telepaths alive, and remains standing.

After him, Magneto.

Juggernaut isn't actually stronger than anyone who's seven feet tall, muscle-bound and lifts weights for a living - strong by human standards, but he's not superstrong. What makes Juggernaut really fearsome is his power: he literally cannot be stopped. No force in the entire universe can hinder his movement. He doesn't need to break through a wall; he can just walk through it, and the wall will fall apart to get out of his way. Understandably, when his arm wants to be where your chest is right now, your chest gets out of the way, too, which is why he's much stronger than he physically should be.

Deadpool for ever, though.

Yes, Batman, because he's also fabulously, wonderfully, sickeningly rich.

But I'll say Syndrome, because (wait for it) "When everyone's Super, no one is!"

So nuts to you all.

Wolverine. Just for his macho attitude and succes with girls. :P

You know, in Spanish they translated his name as "Wolfverine", cause a hero called "Lobezno" (Wolfverine) sounds way cooler than "Gloton" (Wolverine). You probably may think both sounds equally silly but in my idiom there is a abyss between.
Hither came Conan, the Cimmerian, black-haired, sullen-eyed, sword in hand, a thief, a reaver, a slayer, with gigantic melancholies and gigantic mirth, to tread the jeweled thrones of the Earth under his sandalled feet.

Yes, but all Juggernaut has to do (even if chained down and almost every part of his body chained) is wiggle even his finger and it'll get him moving. He'll break out and smash through absolutely anything. Granite? No problem. Bedrock? Without breaking a sweat. If you get caught between the Juggernaut, you shall splat, quite literally. However, a mind blast from Charles at the right moment could finish him IMO.

I didn't know that, are you sure? I mean I knew his movements were unstoppable* (that was the first power I mentioned), but I didn't think that was the reason he seemed so strong, and I seem to remember an instance where he an the Hulk duked it out in a military base and tossed whole buildings at each other. Correct me if I'm wrong, but while the unstoppability* would affect punches and stuff, it wouldn't let him do that. Oh well, he's still badass and crazy powerful (as you said, the power to have any and all of your movements be unstoppable* is pretty fearsome). And, as I forgot to mention before, he doesn't need to eat, drink, breath, rest, or do any of those things lesser beings have to.

*Correct me if I'm wrong once again (I like super heros, but have never been able to read many comics and never claimed to know everything), but he is only technically unstoppable. I believe I read somewhere that there are a handful of cases (like literally count on one or maybe to hands) where he has been stopped. But yeah, for practical purposes he is unstoppable.

If we are going outside X-men (which was the orginal question) then I would have to be either Spider-Man and Batman. The former because I can really relate to him and the latter because he is rich, has no powers while still being badass, and habitually fights a homicidal clown who is, quite frankly, scary as hell (and yes, I am insanely pumped for The Dark Knight). And Juggernaught is still close behind, along with Ghostrider (come on, he's a HERO, who just happens to be the devils bounty-hunter).

He can just swing his arm around and around and run at your enemy. If they get hit by it, they're dead. Plus they can't stop the attack either. Only bad thing about Juggernaut is that his accuracy with his attacks isn't very good. Although he can punch the ground and make an attack which spreads out and is wide so it covers a wide attack arc. It's exactly the same as "Hulk Smash" to put it plainly.
