This thread will contain announcements for Ninth Age contests of various kinds.
For those wondering what T9A is, it's Warhammer Fantasy's community-driven spiritual successor, or a Warhammer clone if you like that better: Call it what one like, but the end result is that WHFB's beloved and artistically succesful model of a historically based fantasy smörgåsbord lives on in an actively developed setting. For those looking closer, there will be many new additions and nuance differences, such as a thoroughly developed fantasy Africa - Taphria - where Warhammer's Southlands was lacklustre compared to other parts; and a Constantinopolitan crossroads city where Byzantine ratmen ruled until recently. Expect it to grow and improve. A lot!
You can take part in this development and help inform its creators with your art and your stories.
Today, the Ninth Age Team reveal its first Art Contest, pitting Warriors of the Dark Gods against others. Itching for some drawing or painting? Have some ideas to sketch out? Got an epic visual in your head to get down on paper? Then now is a good opportunity to let loose your inner artist!
Check it out, there are a slew miniature prizes up for grabs, including a random give-away:
Art Contest I
This is your chance to have your fantasy artwork show up in official publications!
Expect more of the same to come if this catch on, and who knows if modelling/painting and even writing competitions could lie around the corner?

Re: T9A Contests
Why are you including prizes from Mierce Miniatures? That's the company owned by Rob Lane, who royally screwed over huge numbers of hobbyists by taking orders from them when his company was about to go bankcrupt (and indeed, encouraging large volumes of said purchases by offering massive sales on miniatures that he had no ability to sell), with no intention of ever fulfilling said orders. While his situation was one that we might otherwise have sympathised with, the web of lies and deceit he spun was unforgiveable.
At the time, many of us - me included - resolved to never forget. And yet, so it turns out, how soon we forget. Well, not me. Once he pays back and formally apologises to each and every one of the customers he screwed over, then he will earn his place back in the community. But until then? No.
