He costs 150 and the piont was not to create a super character of doom

Not bad but just a point, if he's an exiled sorcerer there are not going to be Khainite things in his army.

yeah, you might want to extend the restricted units to include executioners and witch elves of khaine, just my thought.

I like this character. I think he should cost a few more points though.

Killing blow on a 5+ is probably a 45 point magic item. And the armor 20. Back those out, and the naked character is 85 points -- 5 points less than a level 1 sorceress who has worse stats.

Kick him up to 180 and it would be about right.

I agree with the point cost but I ask other than getting a mage with killing blow and armor what is the point of this character? You loose all units of Khaine which in my mind is a big blow to the army. I think He needs something to make up for this. He might be worth it if he got a bound spell chillwind I think would work or the armor could act like a soul stone.

The army would loose the use of Black Guard, Assassins and Witch Elves. So better stats than a level 1 sorceress and his special items may not be enough to convince people to use him.

I would use him . . .

I typically do not use Black Guard, Assassins or Witch Elves.

My infantry are spearmen, crossbowmen and executioners.

i agree with Dyvim here, i would do this for him.

base: 95pts
sword: 45pts
Armour: 35pts

so with that i would make him around 175pts, in theory his base should be higher than 95pts, but with no access to elements of the army he reduced it by 10 again IMO

Okay an increase to one seventy is justified.

As for disallowing witch elves I see them as his personal harem as when he was sent into exile for his colony to survive some of the rules had to be broken down, also they have never been too keen on the kabals. I might include exes in the restricted list though.

Crazyhorse as I have already said I don't mind losing a tiny bit of versitility if it means I get a more fluff enriched army that is fun to play with.

Here is the now slightly updated rules of Rackeith along with background.

Rackeith, The Exiled 170pts

Several years ago a young Druchii called Rackeith was convicted of practicing magic. Rackeith was the second son of a lowborn family. However he was a skilled fighter and was soon Lord Yuerls favoured champion and was allowed to ride a mighty chariot into battle. However the real turning point of hsi life was when his sister Alexia was inducted into one of the covenants. He repeatedly beseeched his sister too teach him of her new found power and finally she yielded. Rackeith had not learnt the value of being discreet however and he was soon apprehended by the black guard. He would have been executed but for Furion who realised his potential and the fact that he was a true patriot to the Druchii cause. Furion persuaded Malkeith to reduce the sentence, so Rackeith was exiled.
For several years Rackeith ran a large territory in the border princes his few loyal warriors assisted by a subjugated night goblin tribe. Then one day a message arrived from Malkeith via the infamous mercenary Mengil Manhide saying that if Rackeith could thwart the efforts of the Asur or their allies to retrieve a strange artifact known as the nemesis crown as well as capture several slaves and artifacts then he would be able to return to Naggaroth in honour.
So Rackeith gathered his army to him and launched a raid on the dwarf hold in the mountains to the west of his territory hopping to find information as too the location of this crown.

First of all is he 150 or 175 points?

Secondly, he seems a little weak to me. Almost as if he was a beast master.

I would make him a little more powerful in combat.

Does he use magic from the Dark Elve book? Or does he use another type?

The rules could use a little work. Good back ground though.

He is 170 points and uses dark magic as already stated. Also if you have any suggestions i would be glad to hear them.

I actually like the fact that he's not a god. This is the kind of character that you wouldn't mind taking because he doesn't cost too much but actually fulfills the role you brought him for.

Thanks, also does anyone have any opinions on the fluff?

I reckon its a good fluff, though his sister would probably been killed and smashed into a bloody pulp for teaching him :P

She left with him

The convang agreed to that? It seems unlikly that Malikith would have spaired them both, afterall a sorceres willing to teach males magic is alot more dangerus than a second son lowborn weilding magic, I mean who knows who else she might teach? Still thats your call in the background but it seems slightly unlikly.

As a point Visais back ground and game play you say he has subgated a night goblin tribe, can he use Night goblins in games? Or is that purly background.

Purely background but as my brother sometimes uses a bret-dwarf army I use my goblins as well, however you could always include goblins as halfling dogs of war.
For the sorceress they didn't find out she was the one who taught him untill after she left.

I like the fluff except for one point, Malekith outlaws magic practising males because of his so-called doom prophecy, so the whole idea that Rackieth showed particular promise and dedication to the druchii cause (taking the throne) probably wouldn't encourage Malekith to go easy on him. Also for this reason Malekith would not want him anywhere near the nemesis crown.

Perhaps Rackieth could have escaped with the help of his sister, and now in his blind devotion to naggarond he's going after the crown to present to Malekith as a token of his fealty

We went through this, Rakiath doesnt fit the bill for the prophasy and if Rakiath showd no promis what so ever Old Maly would have killed him just to be sure, as he was usful he got to live.

I quite like this fluff although he should maybe allow his sister and have them both as two hero choices.

I quite like him and may use him against some brettonions after his armour!

I just use his sister as a normal sorceress. My goal for the campaign is to get Rackeith mentioned at least once.
