Sea Serpant Standard and characters

I know if a character is with frenzied corsairs he will gain frenzy, but what if he leaves the unit?

Does he immediately loose frenzy, or will it last until end of turn? I know this is probably wishful thinking on my part, but I am unsure.

To have Frenzy you must have the Rule Frenzy.
The Standard carries this rule, you do not keep Frenzy unless the banner exists and it only affects the unit carrying it.

If a character charges out of a unit due to frenzy (mounted master maybe) then he immediately loses frenzy.

i've got a good question... if my corsairs with the standard or witches are in close combat ,and i charge with a character... can i join that character to the unit? or it has to be before the combat start in the unit?

Joining units is done in remaining moves phase, and not when a unit is engaged in close combat.

Would you not say that with the standard being Corsairs only that it would only affect corsairs? Or is that not the case?

Only a Corsair unit may take it but the banner's effect does not specify that it only affects Corsair models, it grants the UNIT Frenzy.
