Pendant of Khaeleth and S6+

Does a character with the Pendant of Khaeleth effectively ignore all attacks with a strength of 6 or higher? Is says "roll equal to or under attack's strength" which, would mean that for attacks of S6 or more, it would be impossible to roll over on a d6?

I'm not official, but I treat it as it still fails if I roll a 6 no matter what.

Unless the enemy is O&G and they cast the spell that makes your 6s are 1s. This would be just hillarious!
