Is a character on a Pegasus immune to killing blow?

Good people of Druchii.net.

I am going to play against a very skilled WE player next week and had thought i had come up with a solution to those pesky Waywatchers. The classic master on Peg with cloak of Hag Graef and dawnstone. I had assumed that the model counts as monsterous cavalry and so cannot be killed with the killing blow special rule. However, when searching this forum i came across a post entitled: 'WE Waywatchers killing blow arrows against dreadlord'. Not a single person mentioned that the poster's Dreadlord would be immune to killing blow. This leads me to believe that i may have gotten the wrong end of the stick.
I appreciate that a Dreadlord on a dragon would be susceptible to killing blow, but had assumed this was not the case for a character on a monstrous mount. Any help or clarification would be greatly appreciated

No. Any character that would be subject to KB on foot remains subject to it, regardless if how they're mounted.

I would say yes. Pegasus is a monstrous beast, BRB (pg85) says "some characters can ride monstrous beasts, in which case the model uses the rules for monsrous cavalry", killing blow does not affect monsterous cavalry.

They were a few months ago immune. Unfortunately that FAQ opens a small chink in the armor of our unkillable lord. A very small one mind you.

Thanks for reply flash29. Damn that FAQ.
It is a small chink that my experienced opponent will no doubt exploit, so I guess I will have to use Lifetaker and dark magic instead, as my intention was to use a master without a ward save.
