Stomp/Thunderstomp/Ogres

Hi guys,
The other day I was playing a game against Ogre kingdoms. I was told that I don't get my thunderstomp attacks from my Black Dragon or Hydras onto the Ogres. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this. I checked the FAQ on the website but it didn't say anything about it. Is it an Ogre special rule or something?

Don't start by checking the FAQ, start by checking the main rules:

P76: "Stomp...enemy infantry, war beasts or swarm unit in base contact". It doesn't apply against monstrous infantry.

What Red said but a lil more detial.
When a question rises you need to do several things.
1 check the exact rule in the rule book.
2 check the unit or special rule in question in the following army book.
3 if both sources fail you, then check the FAQ both for main book and for whatever army book is the source of debate.

Thank you, in fact I did read the rulebook but did not interpret the literal meaning of the written rule. Sorry for this question.
