I think you just figured out a new name for my army

I used to name my Highborns and stuff, my nobles and HIghborns had the smae last name, all the same family kind of thing. But i stopped doing that, and it took me ages to figure the name out so i'm not posting it in case someone steals it.

Let's see now...In my Chaos army you have the usual suspects -

The Supreme Lord Rork, Lord of Khorne (but you probably knew that ;))
The Advocate, Sorcerer of Chaos
And in supporting roles:
Kasalas the Black, Lord of Chaos
Phaos Khar, Exalted Champion of Khorne

While in the up and coming CoP there's:
Kaeron Blisswinter, High Sorceress of Slaanesh
Kelcena Darkwhisper, Sorceress of...Slaanesh
Malath Shadowhunter, Noble
Merkol M'sh Slaa, Aspiring Champion of Slaanesh (Who pops up in my Chaos army when it needs to be big).

My general is Durloth if he`s a lord or Kaleth if he`s a hero. My best sorceress (highest level or most offensive in equipment) is Amarth`hae.
Durloths army is the Moriquendi Marauders, Kaleths` is Mor`gwai.

Coming up with names is sort of a pocket hobby for me. Every time I hear something that would make a cool Druchii name, I write it down. I've got about thirty-odd names cycling in a list file for my lower ranking officers of both genders. Reason being is that I will regularly kill off characters by name for incompetence.

But I have a couple that are permanent, so I'll put them down.

"General Kala Kodai of House Velari" is sort of a conglomerate name.

General Kala is from the dorky 80's Flash Gordon movie (which I am somewhat embarassed to admit that I love). I was watching it while I was painting and thought that anyone vicious enough to shoot down her own battlecruiser because there might be a traitor at the helm deserved to have a Druchii namesake (edit: hey, this would make an interesting sig. line). I'm thinking of making up a BSB named Klytus (or maybe a CoP Sorceress name Aura. Hmmm....).

Kodai was just POMA. She needed a middle name and it sounded good.

Velari was actually from a recurring dream that I had when I was a teenager. The supposed name of my guardian angel. It has been a consistent name in my creative efforts for RPGs, writing, art, etc. over the years. Thought it made a nice name for a Royal House in this instance.

Then I have "Deimozael and Phobozael of House Kith", my seconds. Phobos and Deimos were greek spirits of Fear and Panic, companions of Ares. The -ael suffix was generally adopted for angels (both divine and fallen) in the Apocrypha. Thus Deimos-ael and Phobos-ael, meaning the Angels of Fear and Panic. Mixing greek and hebrew I know, but still. The House name of Kith was just made up. Both are mounted on Dark Pegasi and do a pretty good job of living up to their appellation.

Why I have a thing for dark angels I don't know.

I stick to the idea of a house as a theme for my druchii army. Not surprising the names are than of course of the main house (highborn house) with occassionally suppoting nobles/leaders from minor houses that have sworn allegiance to my house.
The house is the House Sheth Harath (the name a combination from the two major druchii runes for flight, wind = sheth and energy, ambition = harath) I see the name as being the house of high flying ambitions in the widest sense of druchii.
As for first names, there are currently four named members of the family,

Alkair (guess where that name is recurring...), he is the oldest son of the house and will inherit the power of leading the house once his father is dead.
Zhaoghan, current head of the house, Alkair's father, a bit too old to really venture into battles nowadays but still once in a while he popps up.
Ilfiriell, the oldest daughter, normally a high sorceress that has dual loyalties, one to her coven of dark sorcery, the other one to her family.
Elmundra, her younger sister by nearly a century, minor sorceress.
Coragor, the youngest son, a renegade druchii who abandonded the house in the old world and is now a mercenary fighting in arena of deaths.
