Good Sorceress on Steed Models?

Post by Dark reaper »

So, does anyone know any good sorceress on steed models? I thought about running a light council under ETC Draft 0 and I need 4 mounted sorceresses. I have thought about converting some from the Dark Rider box set, but I am all ears if anyone has any better suggestions. :)

There's a Brettonian one that can easily be converted to dark elves. Not sure if she's still in print.

There's an example of her. If you cut off the top of her staff, and put something sufficiently evil looking on it, she could make a decent dark elf.

If you want a mounted light council maybe look at the Wood elf wild rider/sisters set. 5 mounted sorceresses in one unit.

I hate to ask but what exactly is a light council? I guess it has a couple of wizards using light magic? But is it more specific than that?

Light council is an army that is set up to make full use of the rules of the spell Banishment.

http://hoodlinghole.blogspot.co.uk/2011/06/lores-of-magic-lore-of-light.html

Banishment allows the power of the magic missile to rise based on the number of Light wizards in close range.

Usual setup is a Level 4 with Banishment and two Levels 1s (for S6 MM).

If you can get your hands on the old model, she seats well on any mount.

You can always try a bit of kit bashing plus some greenstuff.
This is my Sorceress on a Dark Steed. Horse was HE, with some greenstuff added on the mane.
The Sorceress was a combo of various bits, but mainly the HE dragon rider with some DE extras, and greenstuff breasts. (those turned out to be bigger than I thought, the greenstuff seemed like tiny little bits when I was starting out, but they ended up quite large)
The face is a bit blokey because it started as the HE rider, I thought they were pretty feminine to start with, but not quite. Oh well perhaps she is a cult of Slaanesh drag queen :)

Thanks for all the response, guys. I am probably going to run with Amboadine's suggestion of buying the Sisters set as that would probably be the easiest way to get a lot of Sorceresess relatively fast.

Calisson: I actually think I have the old mounted sorceress lying around somewhere. I should see if I can find it. :)

As I am a Gamezone fanboy I shall take any opportunity to plug it:
They've got a wonderful mounted Dark elf musician which could pass for a sorceress. (am planning on getting the unit for my Dark Rider/Warlock)

If you want to go overboard, however, there is their Dark Pegasus and Sorceress model.

Lovely detail and incredibly natural looking creatures.
