1500 points VS DE!

Hey guys, got a game tomorrow night against fello Druchii. Never played against my own kin before, but i DO know he's bringing Morathi.

So.....heres my list for 1500 point battle.

Lords

Dreadlord, Peg, ToP, Ogre Blade, OTS, full mundane upgrades.

Heroes

Master BSB, Peg, CoT, Lance, full mundane upgrades.

Sorceress Lvl2, Lore (Thinking metal with this list??) Scroll.

Core

5 Dark riders, Muso, shields, RxB's.

5 dark riders, Muso, Shields, RxB's

12 Darkshards, muso, champion, Shields. (Mini bunker for lvl 2)

10 Darkshards, Muso.

Special

3 X Bolt throwers

Rare

5 Doomfire warlocks.

Ok, so when he said Morathi i instantly thought 1) shes hard to catch 2) CC is always a gamble with her.

So.......my main idea is shoot her down, i would think with my DS and bolt throwers alone i have the firepower to do so with the peg adding her to a T4. Even though she has that 4+ ward, cant roll the 4+ all the time right?

so, with her at 375 i should assume he might squeze one or two more characters in. BSB no doubt.

Whats your opinion, criticism? Looking good or bad?

I don't think you should take metal, either with this list or against DE in general. Some lore that can give you augmentation to shooting and combat will be great. I would advice Heavens in that case. Also lore of Fire or Dark would be generally good against DE. You got lots of choices here, but maybe not Metal.

I like your idea of shooting Morathi off the board. With so many shooting units she doesn't dare to come close, and her spells have average range at best if she is not using Shadow.

But what do you do if opponent closes in with his combat troops? One mobile monster or small unit of witches would augment this list well.

As for the lore, please reming me on how heavens could help? I've never used it before so i am oblivious to it's synergies.

Good point about my unit of extra DS's. I've replaced them for 10 witches With Muso and champion. Or should i use the champion for Standard bearer instead?

I was thinking dark magic to get the signature spell off for extra strength for the DS.

Well, i won the game turn 4.

Shooting took his K-beast out turn one with my darkshards and bolties. He also had Lokhir felheart with 20 corsairs, Darkshards, a Lvl 2, 8 Doomfires and Morathi.

My dreadpeg killed Morathi turn 4, OTS was a real saver hahahahaha!

I LOST 1 DOOMFIRE WARLOCK hahaha. So.....i'm happy with that win!
