I've written a 1500 point list mainly to play against HE and WoC, but I don't really want to tailor the list too much (it feels a bit cheesy). Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I've been reading up old army lists on D.net and I've found many people praising the Master on Dark Pegasus build. I've dabbled in it, but never been too successful. My understanding is that I need to charge him into the flank of a unit in combination with another charge?
My rough idea for using the list is to redirect and flee using the Dark Riders and shooting any cavalry or warhounds which my opponent is trying to use on me. I don't have a big combat block, but I'll try to run the Executioners 7 wide and put the BSB and sorceress inside the block. I plan to spam Power of Darkness to generate some dice, but - admittedly - the extra strength is unlikely to be too important. I hope that they'll be well-protected enough to make it to combat!

If I remember correctly, in 8th ed. dark riders with shields lose their fast cavalry rule.
This should worsen their fleeing strategy.
Your army is very mobile, and can pack some punch, but lacks durability and heavy hitters.
Should your infantry with general and BSB be charged and routed, you lose the game.
If your executioners enter combat with any serious melee unit they shall lose the combat by far.
Black Guard, would fare better than executioners, because of stubborn rule.
Less chance of routing.

I can't find anything in the rulebook about shields removing fast cavalry and the army book also doesn't say anything about that (which I can see). So I think I'll keep the shields and see how many black guard I can take instead of executioners.
