Petition to extend the length of signatures...

First of all i want to know how many characters/blocks/words a signature can include... cause under the "location" option you can write quite alot, and this thickens your posts a bit and this could be filled with more signature space.. As i have loads of great sig's and its annoying to have to edit them and shorten them because its too long, the one i currently have i had to edit it like 12 times before it would fit. I dont ask for an infinite space... i just wanna know if it can be extended.. how many words it currently can include, how MUCH it could be extended. And if not why it cant... thanks.

You get 255 characters currently, and there are no plans to extend it. The best thing to do is to put it into word and do word counts - its quicker than pressing 'submit' each time and waiting for it to be rejected.

The thing I don't like is how the functions are counted towards it, as well as the link I have to the small pic I use. So, though my sig looks rather small in length, its pretty much maxed out in terms of how long it can be. However, my solution to the problem would be to import more smilies into the site rather than extend the allowable sig length.

Yep. Look at other people's sigs. You have to use the BSB tags to do it, but it can be done. Type the following for a picture: {url}http://your.pic.url.here{/url} except with [ and ] instead of { and }.

I thought you used {img} {/img} tags for pictures? Is it different for this site?

sneaky is just being unusually stupid (which is very unusual for him). It is the img tags. url is for a hyperlink.
