From what Ricold told me that Kitrik had told him, all the major sites will eventually have the same chat channel. That includes CoL, D.net, A.org, TPV, maybe Portent etc etc etc. ALL!

You forgot the evil maniacal laughter. Crowbarring quite so many into one place is an odd consideration, especially since there are so many 40k players on portent.

(Portent? Dear god, no...)

The channel is called #WarhammerFantasy, so I don't think many 40k players would join.

So what you are trying to say is we're just adding a link to the chat that already exists on asur.org (but in black ;)).

Shinobi, have you seen the chat at A.org? This version will be identical, but with the D.net background instead of the A.org one. It's not the old chat, it is the new Java-aplet-IRC chat.

i would go for that
new chat, also with all sites combining we shall never have dull moments again. but more than likely it will be us druchii being the main ones.

Isn't some stuff going to go a bit wierd with that, or do the colours change depending on what the background is (the white we use would be invisable on Asur's chat and vice versa)

Hopefully we'll get a colour wheel or RGB input box like we had here, as the Asur chat only has the old 16-colour options (that went out with MS Paint).

The mIRC chat has always been there (although changed servers from time to time). Just use an IRC program or convince Kitrik to implement the java-applet-irc-thingy asap.

I think that's a good idea. Though having such a big chat, might widen bandwidth, right? Anyways, there would be alot of people if chat was made to have all the people from asur, druchii, tpv, and portent in the same channel .

phill, not all sites have this java applet implemented yet, and not all are as keen on chatting as the elves are. However, I think the number of people in there will increase slowly.

But stilll, i think the chat is still rather "dead..."
I was in a few days ago, and it took halfanhour to have any of the registered online users to answer...

Belial: Most of these gys are idling. Start a convo, eventually someone will answer. When they do, you got yourself the rough start of a convo. Don't give up straight away. We got enough people who log in and out without saying anything.

Yeah, and besides, from the 7k+ members only 100 log in frequently.
Not mutch but still. Just take your time, and when enough ppl stick arround you'll
get your beloved chat back in no-time. Hang on ;)
