HOUSE RULES forum

Post by Maelis »

I thin k we could use House Rules Forum.

Now all my ideas go to Petitions, even if some of them are just for making game more funny/interesting/fluffy/realistic.

Ive heard some ideas, that are not worth to present to GW in GP, but still could bring lots of joy in small, house played rules.

That could be great place for "scenarios" and "alternative rules" (like slave raid and so on).

I hope you will like my idea,
Have fun!

Oh.. I thought Petitions are designed to create new army book. Sorry.

I would try to separate them any way. Many ppl who LIKES our currrent army book doesnt even eneter Petitions forum. House Rules could hold wider range of ideas and dont discourage players who dont want to change whole book, but add some nice fluff to the druchii or game in general.

petitions are for both these things, its just that recently its become a little crowded due to grand petition stuff... i personally dont think we need 2 forums for these things - they're almost identical and theres not much point really...

"Petiotions" name just brings me bad thoughts (damn you G.T. :)
Petitions is more like whaen you WANT something to be done (like GP).
And House Rules are just IDEAS for new fluff stuff, fun rules and thing like that.

Anyway, its your call.
Thanks for attention!

Actually a name like petitions doesn't mean house rules in my mind. I would have put them in general discussion before petitions. I like the idea of a house rules forum, not something to replace the rules because GW stuffed up but for rules for things like custom campaigns, custom scenarios and rules to fit those scenarios, custom characters and weapons and the like.

I agree here with Leithel and Maelis. Especially now the petitions forum is full of posts about the GP. Otherwise can't there be another GP forum to discuss the things about the GP that are now discussed in the petitions forum. That forum could be deleted then when the GP is finished

Maybe they could be based on one of these new initiative forums. House rules for campaigns / tourneys etc is a good idea.

I believe that a lot of the GP stuff could possibly be unstuck soon anyway so it will be clear for the character discussion. That discussion will require fewer posts, then it goes to first draft, which will be one post pretty much.

Yeah, the Admins are busy right now, so it may be some time in coming, if it does come. But it really is a good idea IMO.

The more I think about this idea the more I like it. I have just been browsing the petitions forum and there really are some good ideas over there.

Alternative lists like Ruerl Kahn's Slaanesh list ( a personal favourite theme of mine )

Logan's idea for honours ( needs a better name - too HE-ish! )

The idea for sub lists from each of the great cities

Mettalurgist's ideas re characters etc etc

We could include tourney rules, campaign rules, skirmish rules ( we could make our own version of the chaos war host skirmish thing they were doing in WD )

I hope kitrik picks up on this :|

Just a forum to post some house rules, cause the petitions forum is full of GP stuff and other petitions and house rules aren't meant as a petition.

5ureal also agrees. 5ureal also feels like writing in the 3rd person for no particualr reason. He doesn't want you to ask.

Leithel thought he should talk in third person too... But yes I really like the idea as long as the mods for the forum are willing to keep Petition stuff out and house rules and ideas in.... in fact I might even stick up my hand if no one else has time.

Fantastic!

And Leithal can't be a mod! Or, maybe he can. Or something. ;)
