Warmaster: Cult of Slaanesh

Post by Xizor »

I made the choice to start a Warmaster army, so I decided to replicate my WFB Cult of Slaanesh into Warmaster scale, ive even converted the characters to look the same lol!

So anyway, I wrote a list for using them but subsequently decided not to use it as i am going to be running a Warmaster campaign soon, and a staff member using a random army list just seemed like a bad thing to me. but anyway, Im still gonna paint my army in a Slaaneshi way, just using the normal Warmaster Druchii list...

anyway, if anyone cares...here is the list I wrote:

incidently, I have played a few games using the list, and it does seem fairly balanced. any feedback would be good though.

Enjoy.

Do people let you use this custom list?

I like the mix of units, but I fear it might be too powerful. What do you find performs well and doesn't perform well. What armies have you fought against, and what were they composed of.

I'm thinking the Chaos Knights should be 1 per 2K.

I think Devoted should be like Witch Elves and Flagellants, but without the nutter behavior. Or they should be 4A 3H 6+ save.

Looking forward to hearing back from you. I should upload my Slanneshi Chaos army pics for you to see. :)

Hey,

well I only played a few games with this list and only vs Empire and Night Goblins.

It didnt lose any games, and I feel perhaps your fears are correct my friend. It IS a very powerfull list. The armies I used comprised consisted of max chaos knights, matched with an equal number of cold one knights. lots of dark riders - which all seemed to work very well. things like the shades and devoted seemed a little redundant and just "held points". Something else that seemed to strong was how hard the Anointed was - he has the stats equivalent to most army generals, however, not being the army general you could put him into combat and not worry hugely about the repercussions.

So anyway, the list IS flawed, if you would like to put forward any changes, i would greatly appreciate it.

As i said, Im due to be starting a Warmaster campaign in my GW store, and i felt that as a staff member id probably be setting a bad example using a list that isnt playtested fully ya know? Im happy to stick with the normal Druchii list and just paint em pink though :) and i get Hydras!!! my fav WM model.

To be honest, not many people really know WM in the shop, but Im finding the more I talk about and promote my campaign, the more people are wanting to join in. So its very much just a tester type campaign, we will probably only be using small (1000 pt) armies just for everyone to grasp the rules...anyway, gone off a bit there, sorry man.

think thats everything answered. i look forward to seeing your pics - mine are a little way off being painted unfortunately.

cheers man
