Worst and Best Luck in a Game of Mordheim

Post by Defanatic »

Okay.

My worst would have to be...
Attacking a ghoul with a highborn (45 xp), a Fellblade (2 xp) and an assassin, and failing to wound. In return, the ghoul and pal knocked them over.

Best Luck:
Causing four critical hits with a small number of repeater crossbows, thus taking most of my brothers warband out of action.

It seems that the majority of games, I get poor luck. So my most experienced fellblade has died (being unable to take one wound off a vampire), and so has one of my corsairs. My entire warband cannot even touch a godlike vampire (not really godlike, just all ones and twos). I usually rout immediately, as I suffer loads of casualties, while my brother suffers hardly any. In the times when I have played as defender in surprise attack, I have started with one model on the board (out of 8 ), who promptly gets charged by his direwolves. When attacking the bleeders, I can't seem to hit the dogs.

What's your bad luck?
People say I am sick and twisted. I tell them I have the heart of a small boy. It's in a jar on my shelf.

Worst luck was losing my Highborn in the first game, and having him die after (can't really recover from that).

Best luck would be when I ran my Sigmarite leader into a chaos warband, where I sucessfully cast Soulfire and wiped out the lot of them.

Worst luck: My elite skaven warband getting eaten by THREE squigs... They held up my entire warband and killed enough for me to rout. Then my assassin died from his wounds...

Best Luck: My witch hunter priest holding up 2 possessed, 1 mutant, the magister and 3 bretheren... Finally wiping them all out! With the help of soulfire of course!

Worst luck: I was coming back in a campaign (after losing many heores including my leader) was winning the fight until the next turn 3 heroes went OOA along and the turn after the other two went along with a hencmen and of the lot, only 2 heroes survived. In one game, my rating went down about 100 points (and it wasn't high to begin with).

Best luck: Well, its not really luck given what I had equipped, but I was playing undead vs undead and my vampire jumped his vamire and trahsed him, whereupon the rest of his warband charged my vampire but couldn't do anything. In the following turns, my vampire slowly trahsed the rest of his warband. He was equipped with gromril armour though to give him an awesome save in CC.

I've also made a vampire with the express purpose of detroying warbands on his own - we tried him out one time against 4 other warbands and he trahsed two of them before be bought it. !lol!

Can't remember my worst luck but my best luck and great funny story was my giant rat, taking a dwarf slayer out of action with a critcal hit and after the game it turned out the slayer had been captured. I think the rat brought it home as a prize.
Don't hate the player, hate the game.
