Vampire Warband

Post by Angel of algebra »

This is my Vampire Warband with a Lahmian theme.

130GC Vampire: Dagger, Halberd, Sword
35GC Necromancer: Dagger
35GC Swain (Dreg): Dagger, Double-handed Weapon
40GC Swain (Dreg): Dagger, Two Swords
75GC 5 Skeletons (Zombies)
100GC 2 Dire Wolves
80GC 2 Spectres (Ghouls)

495GC
13 models
warband rating: 93

The vampire will be a Lahmian (with an uber-sexy scythe ;) thanks baran). The necromancer will be as normal. The Swains will be from the empire range probably. The skeletons and wolves will be the vampire counts models. I will use banshee models for the Ghouls, since I think they seem more in with the Lahmian theme, and the ethereality can be represented by the higher toughness.

all thoughts and constructive critisicm welcome :)

Two swords don't give you any benefit. You don't get a second parry or parry reroll. Drop one and get something else, or else drop both and get another great weapon.

Will review more when have time.

Two swords gives you an extra attack, not no benefit. There's little defesive benefit to it but it dobules your offence.

Second list looks much better, except for this: there's still no point in taking a halberd on the vampire, and why does he not have a sword? Drop the axe and halberd, get him a sword and see what's left.

Anyway, more heroes = better, and your equipment is much better. Second list, definitely.

I need to find myself a warband to go the Kill Team approach with (minimum models, maximum equipment - it apparently works). Thinking I might try it with the old dark elves...

If you want to do this may I suggest the list my mates brother tried, Beastmen with a leader, shaman and Minotaur.
