Howdy,I am playing Mordheim for 500 gc tomorrow with Skaven. Not sure whether to take the folowing list*

Assassin adept(leader)* Swd,Wrp,LA,Hel,Buk

1 Black skaven*Swd,Slg,Buk,Hel

1 Rat ogre

2 Verminkin* Clb, Slg,Shd,Hel

All told is 497 gc
Or,I could ditch the rat ogre and get more dudes...what do you guys think?

Well it depends on one thing, is this a mordheim campaign where you will be making exploration roles and advances and all that, or is it just one-off battles?

Go here for the best explanation http://www.mordheimer.com/tactics/t_skaven.htm (if this link isn't allowed sorry...) but basically for skaven it is better to outnumber, have everyone with 2xhand weapons of some type, no armour, and if you can afford, slings.

For a campaign, it's always wise to maximize on heroes and either employ nine or thirteen models when starting out.

Rat ogre would be one of the last things I'd pick.

yeah, now the only thing that will really hurt you is if you get cursed by the dice gods... it happen to my friend's skaven warband, in its first battle all of the heroes went out of action, and when he rolled injuries they all died... on the bright side my other friend's undead warband got some furry zombies :D

I can honestly say im not sure. We ran into this problem in my group, and just decided that, as it was just a pistol that fires hunks of warpstone, you can use it in combat as described for normal pistols and dueling pistols (except at S5, with -3 modifier). However I don't know the actual rule on it, so should clear it up with your group before you play.

Hmm.Hope I can,or my finely tuned warband could be in the poo..I think you are right though. It makes sense that they follow the same rules as normal pistols.
