AoW Warthrone

Post by Amboadine »

For those of you that are unaware Avatars of War has a rank and file table top game called Warthrone.

In the past the rules have only been available in Spanish, however they are now translated into a free to download 43 page pdf in English. (I wonder why they did that so quickly... ;) )

I haven't had a chance to look through properly yet, but they have army list pdf's available for free download for several races already, including Dark elves.

Rules download

Could be worth a look if you are considering a different direction to AoS. Also have an army builder program up and running.

I don't know if I just missed them before, but 'Legions of the Apocalypse' and 'Vampire Counts' have just appeared... Looks like they're expanding to mop up what GW are leaving behind...

Its interesting that Vamps are a straight up copy of Warhammer...

The models are also better, but KoW allows you to use all of you models, AoW not really.

Well abyssal dwarfs just appeared for download too, so it could be that they're aiming to cover all your models, they just haven't release all the rules yet. Its also interesting that there are now more rules in English than Spanish...
