Chaos Dwarfs available to order at Warhammer Forge
I really like the look of the new models, although I know others don't. I am definitely going to buy a unit of Infernal Guard with Fireglaives and an Iron Daemon to use in my Chaos Army.

Pretty awesome! Love the iron daemon, and hopefully this means a CD book is coming in the near future...

that's a matter of taste
More objectively, I would say that the grip side blade is quite ingenious, but it would have been better with spikes (like the twin bayonets), more 'realistic' should I say
The big blades are here for style only, I see noway to use the forefront blade effectively, even for cutting logs
The dwarves themselves are yet so much better than regular ones

hmm after empire rockets and pigeon, they shuld 'ev had made "mechanical dwarven dildo slanesch berserkers" with triple dildo luncher - spear - chariot device, and some swis-knife-hallabards-with-poison-flame-throwers-and-tesla-chargers. But wait, maybe they will...
All i was saying that recently GW drop "realistic" theem of 7th ed, and goes for some "funy" "impressions" with no realism at all.
Hot iron on faces, fork-reapeter handuns, and Empire army list.
But Iron-daemon model is great and with some fluffy realism and flavor. But to much pressure on "new" and "extraordinary" and "wow for 13 year old players" [like those W40K orangutan...
But idea of geting back Chaos Dwarfs, is very very good, no, wait - GREAT!

oh, and about Forge World and GW - they are producing those models for about 1/10 of $ or even less [matrix and cheap material, and a little electricity] and sell them for 100's. And still they - all the time - find reasons to put prices up, to sell extra/speciall/elite/custom/madafacka-pimp-ed. FOrge World/specialists models as

Just remember that it's not that simple. They still have to pay people to design the model from concept to prototype and then pay the wages of the people making the moulds, packing them etc etc.

I want hats too!
Seriously though, I like the models, though theyre very 'clean cut' - I imagined the chaos dwarves being dwarves who discovered heavy metal, head banging and piercings/tattooes and that you could drink engine oil instead of ale; which meant burping fiery belches instead of hiccups! And then they'd hook up with some succubus daemon babe at the end of the night.
If that makes any sense...

He's got a point, otherwise we would only be spending a few bucks for the pewter models.

Er... This isn't a release of an entire Chaos Dwarf army, I believe. This is just a Warhammer Forge supplement to the existing Warriors of Chaos rules, to add a little spice and some fun new models to the existing ruleset. It's not like GW will be rolling out a Chaos Dwarf armybook as a result of these models.

The Warhammer Forge book will include a full Chaos Dwarf army list, among many other things. Many/most of the units can also be taken by Warriors of Chaos, though usually with tighter restrictions.
(Technically it's the "Legion of Azgorh", indicating a generic CD list might be a bit different, but it's a Chaos Dwarf army list in all but name).
its still adds a lot of new units for Woc, every army then should get some supplement , dont you agree teckils
Should? Says who? It's the way Warhammer Forge works (ie. the same as Forge World in 40K)... they'll release units for a number of armies and a book to go with them (in this case Chaos, Chaos Dwarfs and Empire) then move on and do something different. There's no "should" about it, and it's not "unfair" that only some armies get new stuff, it's just the way it is. Rumour has it the second book will be Bretonnians and Tomb Kings, don't know how true that is, and no idea how long Dark Elves will have to wait... maybe never. Nothing unfair about it, they just can't release 15 armies worth of stuff all at once.

It's something entirely different.
Storm of Chaos was a GW production, intended to get everybody playing lots of games of Warhammer for a big summer campaign (...that disappeared without trace; the results were basically "nothing happened"). There were a bare minimum of new models (just a few special characters IIRC) and the "new" army lists were almost entirely just variants on existing lists. Though even despite that, they were short-lived - none of the lists given in the SoC book are still deemed valid, which is a bit harsh considering some people probably spent lots of time and money building them!
Throne of Tamazurkhan, by contrast, is a Warhammer Forge production. It's therefore not aimed at everyone, but at those small number of gamers and collectors who are prepared to go "above and beyond" the normal Warhammer experience (and usually end up paying lots of money to do so). It's not limited to one summer, doesn't pretend to have a campaign result, and is driven almost entirely by what models they can produce for it. Not everyone likes using Warhammer Forge / Forge World rules, but for those that do, the rules and lists within remain valid indefinitely.
So yeah, basically everything about it is different. The most obvious comparison is the Forge World books - I think the first couple had "a bit of everything" in them, but the last few have been heavily themed around particular wars. For example one was Tau, Guard and Marines, one was Tyranids and Marines, and I think the most recent was Marines vs. Marines civil war - yeah... Marines tend to get a pretty good deal out of it... that's 40K for you I'm afraid! Though to be fair a lot of the recent Marines stuff has been cool-looking armour variants and shoulder pads, with minimal new units or rules. Anyway, this Warhammer Forge book is Empire vs. Chaos. Everyone else's time will come, I'm sure.
