The End Times - Dream teams?

Post by Rork »

Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!
- Peter Venkman, during the End Times*

Now that the End Times is throwing together various thematically linked armies, I was wondering...what if theme wasn't a consideration? What armies would go together well as one big army, either in terms of background or flat-out disgusting in-game synergy?

Skaven and Chaos could be an interesting one - Plague spells making Chaos Knights and Warriors thoroughly disgusting through Wither and Bless with Filth...and it's even reasonably canonical (Did anyone mention lightning cannons and Dragon Ogres? :P ).

*It counts...

What armies do we have left that haven't been introduced to End Times rules wise yet?

Bretonnia
Empire (though bits here and there)
Dwarfs
Skaven
Greenskins
Lizardmen
Ogres.

My predictions:
Bretonnia, Dwarfs and Empire form the Old World Alliance, but only after Dwarfs get kicked out of their homeland due to underground assault.

Lizardmen become nomadic and Ogres become even more nomadic, allowing units from either army to be used as allies for Forces of Order
Skaven and Greenskins become allies for Forces of Destruction

Perhaps the Lizardmen will see a shift of focus to the lands south of Khemri. There are Lizardmen temples there as well, I think.
