Silent Menace (Druchii starter warband)
Hey all
Never played Mordheim before but it seems interesting so I thought I'd give it a shot.
I found the Druchii warband listing on this site and since my gaming club is having a mordheim campaign soon I made a 500gc starter warband.
It's a bit lacking in CC ability but that will be remedied later on.
Thoughts? Ideas?
Anyone wanna explain how I determine what spell my Sorceress has and when I determine this?
Can I get multiple parry rolls? (dual swords? sword and buckler?)
The Warband has a rating of 63. no clue if that's actually good or bad though
Heroes:
Noble - Narsil Bloodstorm
Equipment:
Helmet, Light armour, Buckler, Repeater Crossbow, Dagger
Lordling - Zurnil Bladewrath
Equipment:
Buckler, Repeater Crossbow, Axe, Dagger
Henchman Groups:
Khaine's Chosen:
Witch Elf - Esmeralda Shadowthirst
Equipment:
Sword, Dagger
Winterheart Twins:
Shade - Khael Winterheart
Shade - K'selis Winterheart
Equipment:
Repeater Crossbow, Sword, Dagger
Mountain Chill:
Shade - Leonis Swiftblade
Shade - Lokar Underdark
Equipment:
Repeater Crossbow, Dagger

My club has been running Mordheim for quite some time now, so i know a few of the ins and outs of Mordheim.
The way for the selection of spell is exactly the same in warhammer, you roll a die and get that one
As for your rating the average starting is around 65 to 85
With parrying you only ever get one roll, but some things give you better abilities such as re roll
One problem with your warband is as you said, you are lacking in CC. However twether it is devastating depends on who you are against?
A good Mordheim site though is http://www.mordheimer.com

ok, so do I roll for spells each time i play or does she learn one and then have that one until she dies.
I have no clue who I'll be up against. but most likely there'll be some skaven, a chaos band or 2 and empire bands. (possibly an orc or undead thrown in the mix somewhere)

Names are purely from imagination. I sat down for 5 minutes and randomly made some up
Sorry, can't post a link to my brain...
I have since revised the list a bit, switched some gear and made the Sorceress into a lordling instead (Magic seems overrated, but i'll add a sorceress later on. I edited the post to reflect the changes)

Definitely! When i play the magic is very lame, the problem is that there is no distinction between a drunk, guns for hire cheap conjurer and a knowledgeable, dark arts sorceress.
Magic against me only worked once, dark blood was cast at my leader and blew him away, after that he became paranoid (never understood why it lost you an initiative point, surely you would be more alert )
Sorry for the late answer, I was out for some time.
First thing. If you are starting a campaign, add some heroes. Starting with two heroes means not having money for development.
Also, while I am flattered by your decision to try Druchii, I suggest you to try rather some warband of basic rules for first games. They are thoroughly tested and quite balanced. Druchii are still being tested and developed.
If you still want to play this warband, well, good luck. And please, post your results.
