House Fellblade of Karond Kar

Post by Slerac fellblade »

it seems to be quite a common name btw Malu's father in the books his family name was Fellblade as well. Anyway this fluff will probly suck I am not the best writer out there. well here goes

Lord Fellblade sat in his private study on a chair made from the flayed skin of humans. This was his favorite room in his manor. It contained the trophies he most favored. Over the door hung the banner of the Templars of Manaan won at a battle on the northern shores in the pathetic realm known as the empire. He took it personally from the bearer of the banner the templars seneschal. His library itself was a collection of printed material from all over the world. Included in this were ancient Khemarian Papyrus, Tome of the Mundane and the Magical from Ulthuan to Cathay. Skulls of various generals and leaders made book ends. On a dais at pulpit sat one of his retainers Kealnir. His job was simple chronicle all that came into the collection. His duty here only ended when campaign season started when he would join his master on his fleet and chronicle what his master takes from battlefields all over the world to come back and transcribe them into this great book.

Lord fellblade rose from his chair and made his way out of his study. Walking through the labyrinthine halls filled with the armoured suits of noble an commoner alike each one with a name and a date at it's base. Through the window he could har the distant naying from his stables. His one elven steed Maenithil was most likely giving the groomers a diffiult time. This was his favorite steed captured from Ulthuan it needed no training or breaking. The memory made the Lord chuckle. It was on the feilds of Ellyr a unit of Silver helmed knights of ulthuan were charging his position led by their commander. They charged but at the last minute his steed bucked in such a way that sent the commander flying right onto his awaiting blade. Seeing this the silver helmed knights broke and fled. When the battle was over the steed of the dead noble trotted over to his lines.

Finally he got to his main hall the room was filled with retainers and house slaves they were moving pieces of the collection preparing for the great party. A party that happened every time he returned from sea all the nobility of Karond Kar was invited and some nobility from the other cities. They were mostly invited out of familial ties or the wish to gain favors.

The party always started the same guest would congregate in the main hall seeing some of the new additions to the collection. Then the chime for dinner came and all the guests sat at a great table. Servant racing from the kitchen would bring food to their assigned chair and place it infront of the guests. The guests never knew what they were getting. Sometimes they would get food from Ulthuan other times a guest could get human food if one could call it that. What they didn't know was in the kitchen there were slaves from all over the world instructed jut to make delicacies from their homeland. Some guest get offended by this randomness and lack of all elven cuisine but their complaints are meaningless they come back each year for more.

Then of course after the meal the tour would begin. The weapons hall was everyones favorite. Each weapon in the case had an interesting reason for being there at least interesting to him. One such weapon was the Dawi Sword. This was a sword wielded by a dwarf lord in a battle it was the lord's primary weapon. Which lord Fellblade found odd because dwarves generally use bashing weapons or large clumsy axes.

After the weapons hall was the chamber of banners. This room was from wall to ceiling covered in the banners of many units and armies. Some held magical properties most did not. The only group that there were no banners from were the Asrai. He was hoping that would change though. Also in this room were keys from paymasters of Tilea and Estalia since these keys tended to act like banners.

Then there was the bone room. A room of skeletons hanging from the ceiling. There were the skeletons of beasts and men alike. the only one that had magical wards aroun it were the bones of a lord Kethrax the Crusher. Some human lord of the northern wastes. Mostly because he didn't want his collection corrupted. there were vaulted rooms devoted to baubles and talismans. A room devoted to pieces of scuttled enemy ships. There were pieces of Masonry from all over the world. he slaves themselves were parts of the collection from different races all over the world.

After the party it would be time to set sail again. Rumors of war in the Human Empire with a convergence of a great many armies surely there would be some new things that will enter the collection. A lifetime of work that always grew that always needed to grow. He knew some Lords had other reasons to go there some sought magical artifacts and even the eggs of dragons, which were always nice to have but a Asrai Banner or even the head of the new grandmaster of the knights of Manaan those are the thoughts that came to mind but he knew other items in countless battles would call to him. His taste for battle and for addition had started he could not wait to get rid of the nobles and highborns and they weren't even here yet.

So thats kinda an overview of my highborn he is kinda crazy because he has an Obcessive compulsion to add things to his collection.

I am sure Eldacar will find some problem in the content with this background but whatever.

The first one in my opinion, the pose just looks better. Good background by the way.
Moding a group of Druchii.net players is much like directing the musical 'Cats' using actual cats. Frustrating, difficult, chaotic but ultimatley satisfying and a great deal of fun.

so here is part two.

It was a nagging feeling on his mind this war had tha effect. He knew the feeling to it was the same feeling he had at his great collection party, it was boredom. For weeks now in the empire he could not find many opponents. A few random fights here and there but they meant nothing. He wondered at how many unguarded villages there were all over the world because of this conflict.

His collection had grown the severed head that fell off from an ork warlord's sheild causing the beast to trip, A lock of hair from a dead Asrai Spellmaiden, A Wizards Skull from an empire army as well as the banner of the knights of the purple heart from a different empire army and th horn of a shaggoth. These would make their way back to Naggaroth with a host of slaves. but the pickings were weak.

Kaius his son attended outside his tent. He was a good son he even carried his father's personal banner to battle. To call it a banner though when all it is, is a trophy rack of bones from all aorts of people and creatures. Kaius was resposible for the capture of 200 religious fanatics at the feilds of the great forrest.

This conflict meant little to him. Unlike many of the other factions he did not jump at the rumours of the nemesis crown in his area. Why would he, he had the best scouts in the world the Autarii of the Bloodrock Serpent clan. They continually scoward the area and found nothing.

He envied his cousin or however he was related to that other Fellblade that was at Tor Thana. He was probly knee deep in some real action. Action that mattered not this duldrum of boredom. the envy had led to hate maybe he would not offer his cousin the passage home and just leave him stranded here. It was always a possibility.

But those were thoughts for another night, tonight however it was time to drown his thoughts in some fine vintage of Wine.
