Live head start is up, I have to say i'm impressed with the thing. How're you finding it? :D
Oh, i seem to be getting some chronic bad lag too, anyone else? I reckon its either A) my hardware sucks to the max or B)The servers are all full to bursting :P.

I'm loving it so far. Got myself a lvl 12 black Orc at the moment, his bloody unstopable. I've had 4 mobs round me, all the same lvl as me and I've beaten them off without a problem. Any one else noticed that normal mobs aren't much of a threat?

I'm getting a bit of lag at times but I am running it at high spec. Can just get a bit jumpy, nothing to ruin the game.

Public quests are great fun if you're with your mates, Although I find the random roll being from 1-1000 a bit to random. You can come in the top three for the quest and still not get anything if you roll low.

All in all, loving it. 8-9/10

I have no lag at all, but someone in my guild is suffering too. No idea why since his system is way better than mine...

But the game is great! I love my Witchhunter.. I've learned an abillity, which makes my Witchhunter put people on fire with a torch.. How cool is that? I just feel like laughing maniacally every time...

Yup, just took a 4 hour playing spree with a friend for when the Servers opened for the SE Preorders. Love it.

I haven't got the game but I played on my friends account. From what I played (Khaine's Embrace, a few quests and a PQ), I must say that this is my new favourite game. Aargh, if only I had the time, money, and compatible computer to do so.

Highlights: During Khaine's Embrace, I snare and root two people on the capture points, just as the wrath of Khaine is released. Extremely funny to watch. Not so funny when you're too busy doombolting people to realise you're still within the blast radius... Like I did.

How does it compare to WoWarcraft?

And how are the 'big battles'? That seems like a core component of the game, are they as advertised?

I find its much more to the point than warcraft. Rewards are much easier to get and they are always relevent to your class.

From what I've seen the rvr is very very good fun but a little quiet. Mainly I think because I was on the headstart am ahead of the main bulk of players that will be getting in now, Hopefully it will get more busy as more people get in.

One tiny tiny thing I miss from the RP point of view isthe lack of emotes. Only a small thing but I really have noticed it.

What are the recommended system specs?

I'm thinking of upgrading my PC to fool around with this game a bit (although the main driver is Starcraft 2).

What do I need for this game?

I also noticed that it is possible to play a male Druchii Sorcerer. Is it possible to play a male Witch Elf (aka Assassin)? I'm just not a fan of playing as a female character, and that is the only Druchii character that interests me (since Black Guard were removed  )

Nope, no male witch elf I'm affraid. If you look up the main site it should have the specs on it there. I don't think they're to bad as it needs to run on most machines without lag.

I'm having the lag problem. I think part of it occurs when the servers are close to full (at three a.m. there is very little lag!). But I have noticed that when I die & respawn, I gain lag. By the third or fourth respawn, the game is almost unplayable. If I log out, then log back in, the lag goes away... at least until I get killed again.

Maybe some buffer/caching problem in my hardware.

I too am wondering about the specs. My PC is at the minimum: I've got a 2.3 ghz Athlon dual core with 2 GB RAM running Vista and a 256 MB nvidia 8500 video card. Will that be a problem?

There are quite a few emotes, although I haven't managed to figure out all of them yet (this is something they could and should have lifted verbatim off WoW :P). Also, /me is /emote for some reason. Bit daft, but oh well.

If anyone is on Alarielle (EU RPPvP) on Destruction, give Yhraen a shout.

Must say that i can't wait or the Black Guard patch. At least on Karak-a-Karak the lack of dark elven tank is notable. other than that the game is great.

So... we're in the same county and on the same server. Coincidence? I think not.

Disciple of Khaine 8, by the way. I doubt you'll want to party up with me that much given your rank, but oh, well.

Drek, you'll be fine. It won't run well if you jack up all the graphics, but keep it reasonable and you should be fine.

Disciple of Khaine 8,

How is the Disciple of Khaine? as it is a kind of priest (semi-warrior and caster) is it reliable in close combat AND in blood powers?

I have small queue but nothing really big (most of the time it's around 80 people in queue) but I don't get too much lag on Red Eye Mountain.

It's okay. Really, the DPS side is a secondary feature - more like a handicap that you need to make do with because it powers your heals. Don't pick the DoK thinking you'll be DPSing much - you're a healer first and foremost. R16/RR10 now, and though it's not brilliant, it's not horrible either. Would have preferred a tank or a MDPS but they removed BG and Choppa, so...

T2 (R12-21) is the breakoff point where DoK stops doing damage and starts doing heals quasi full time; you still contribute to damage on the enemy, but only to heal (the DoK gets most of its healing in the form of healing strikes - attacks that deal damage and heal for a percentage of the damage done).

So yeah, for the first part of the game, you'll do decent damage and be able to survive reasonably well thanks to healling yourself, but it peters down later - right now it feals a lot like I'm essentially a crappier healer, but I'm only R16, so I'm pretty sure I don't have the big picture. Part of it is probably also the fact that I'm having trouble surviving in melee and therefore run out of Soul Essence all the time, which means I'm a bit shiz.

Experience may vary, but if you want to roll a healer and it has to be a Druchii, roll DoK; otherwise, roll Shaman (Zealot isn't quite as good, from what I've heard, since it lacks the RDPS component of the Shaman, but then it's a mirror of the Runepriest which is apparently awesome, so conflicting information right there); and if you just want a male Witch Elf... don't. Play a Marauder instead, or resign yourself to the fact that you'll have to play a female character. :P
