Greetings fellow Khainites
Hi all,
I have visiting Druchii net off and on since I started my Dark Elf army 2 years ago, finally got around to creating an account. I like the new look of the site and now that the Dark Elf army book is coming out I will need to be visiting on a regular basis to learn how to use it.
I have been playing Warhammer for about 10 years, starting with Orcs, then Chaos, followed closely by Daemons and Empire. Since then I have sold off the Orcs and Chaos because I couldn't keep up with all the rules as I mainly paint and convert rather than play.
Right from the start I was drawn to Dark Elves but it was suggested that the Orc and Empire starter set was the way to go. I got into Chaos because that was the only way to get Daemons back then.
Since then I have acquired and painted a good sized Dark Elf army with lots of monsters and Khainites.
I am looking forward to the arrival of the new Army book and Blood Cauldron I have on pre-order!

Thanks for the welcome. I see you are located in NZ too, where are you based? I am in Tauranga.

Hi,
Yup I know Hamish, although he has left Tauranga and headed down to Palmerston North. I have met a few people from the Hamilton club at our local tournament. I occasionally play in them so I play at least 5 games a year
Cheers
Bruce

Re: Greetings fellow Khainites
You will be able to tell from the rankings that I don't play very often, which roughly translates into I don't know how to use my army very well.
I remember getting sent a link to those rankings after the last tournament, but can't remember where there are, can you send me a link?
Anyway, looking forward to painting the new Cauldron, just cleared my painting table, was doing some Ogre commission painting for the fun of it and some WE conversions, so roll on release day.
Cheers

Tournaments aren't always the best way to play anyway, I normally have a lot more fun just playing games at home etc. Too much pressure to do well at the tournaments.
20 Witch Elves just made it onto my painting table so I think we have the same idea there haha.
O, Im Brian by the way.

Thanks for the link, I was pleasantly surprised to find I was only in the bottom third and not right at the end
The only thing I didn't think was cool with the new cauldron was the lack of locomotive power. I made recently pulled by a couple of Marauder slaves, not as over all cool as the new one, but logical at least.

A bit more threadomancy going on. I swear that I replied to your post about call to arms Pablo, I didn't go as Christchurch is a bit far for me. I would like to get to a tournament there eventually though. My next tournaments are in Auckland and Tauranga, both in September.

Hi Devils - I am planning on going to the Tauranga tournament too. 5 games in one weekend is about the same as the total number of games I play the rest of the year! See you there

It'll be 6 games so it will be even more than you play in a year
