Drizzt Do'urden model (pics)

Post by One-eye »

Hey all, my 17 year old brother asked me to take some pics on his recent conversion and so I did. It is a model based on the Forgotten Realms character Drizz't Do'Urden. Check the picture below for an example of what is looks like... feedback is welcome - I'll relay the info to him.

He is both tactically minded and a savage fighter. He is feared throughout the Drakwald and rightly so, known by many names he is best known as One-Eye.

I really can't remember Drizz't using or carrying a bow anywhere..?
But the model is cool and all is well (even the swords IMO), as long as he doesnt try to make rules for him ;)

EDIT:
Wasn't Twinkle supposed to shine?
Captured light of the moon or something...
Anyhow I really like the colorscheme(armor).

twinkle was the blue sword although i agree he made it a little light. Drizzt does use a bow in the first trilogy but I think he loses it. It was just a little too much effort to remove I believe. Cheers, One-Eye

I like it, good job on it. Swords are look really neat. I don't remember his armor being gold however, it's mithril chain so technichally it's silver in color. In recent years, they have made his armor into more of a leather/chain mesh that looks brown in color, I miss the old days when he wore the forest green cloak with the hood over his head, he looked so mysterious.

Drizzt did borrow Cattie-Brie's bow, Taulmaril, in a FG anthology, Realms of Valor, when he encountered that one goblin that wasn't evil.

The character from the book series right? Awesome, sure looks like he sounds in the stories! :)

Even the skin is very Drow. Nice work overall, though some of the drybrushing could use some work.

It was really great idea to make Drizzt. It looks fantastic and swords aren't too big.

All you need is the small figurine or even the panther it self!

I second Haplo's idea! But otherwise it looks really great!
The swords are maybee a bit too large and look kinda unhandy but otherwise it is a beautiful model with a beautiful paintjob!
Well Done!

Ah! For Guenwhyvar (the panther) you could perhaps make a conversion from an ogre sabretusk? I think it could be done pretty easily.
