Witch elf green WIP (web and preorder)

Post by Juza »

After a few years of sculpting greens for other years i thougth that this is the time of making my own project.

The pics are not as good as it should be, and the mode is still in WIP (the blade will be more elaborated, the body will be a little bit more detailed etc) but i want to know other people opinions.

For this time, i will only put on sale a limited number of copies (only 150) but only the time will tell if this is the firts of more to come or the first and the last mini i will cast on my own.

Well, here are the pics

very nice work dude, what have you used for the framework/armature? wire? or is it sculped without a frame.

i look forward to seeing the finished model, keep up the good work

Looking good so far.

I know this might be a bit early to ask, but what price did you have in mind for a cast? and are you planning in shipping overseas?

Nice, any rough ideas on when they will be going on sale?

Also if you are interested in sculping more check out Impact! Miniatures, they are always looking for new sculpters for Blood Bowl figures and staff.

I would imagine he had to use wire to sculpt something so well. Also, if you look at the bottom of the raised right foot, you can see a bit of it exposed.

I love the use of counterpostitioning you used in this figure- it allows for a very dynamic piece even though in reality it's somewhat static. While you did an incredible job on the muscle groups, my only critique is that you could push that area further to get a better idea of how the muscles contract and stretch when acted upon. For example, I feel the arm that is raised with the dagger is good, but the muscle groups that lead down to the torso are not stretched as much as they could be- you could even exaggerate it a bit to really make a statement about the fact that she's at the zenith of her thrust, about to drive into her opponent.

All that being said, it's an amazing model, and I would buy one if you sold it (not that i would suggest it, since GW will be on you rather quickly- may want to call it something other than a witch elf.

Looks very nice. The only thing I could suggest is with the face. Your mini's face looks more round than the standard GW Elves. Maybe make the cheeks a bit more sunken and it will fit in with the GW range better. BTW, there is nothing wrong with the face your sculptured though.

Real good job, i like the pose, very druchii-like, like sacrificing a slave or something.

Thanks for all te replies.

Actualy, i´m finishing the details of the product but my goal is to start selling this mini in no more than 3 weeks.

The model is almost finish, and the price for it will be around 9.50 Eur (€). I will also ship this item overseas, so the world is the limit, for no more than 3€ up to 2 minis (even cheaper if i can but it is not my choice).

The way of paying it will be trougth paypal, an easy and secure way for both, the buyer and the seller.

P.D As Khelmor said the pose is like sacrificing a slave and if the sales goes well i will sculpt a limited edition (no more than 30 models) victim miniature for this elf.

Do you have a rough idea what that would be in dollars. I'm not sure what the exchange rate between euros to dollars is.

work.

Juza.....are you planning on taking preorders or making a waiting list? I would like the Dark elf and the victim if you do make one.

At least, this is the final version of the dark elf.

The feet were redone, as the blade was and I added more details in the armor.

You can see a dangerous brazalet in her left arm and a few more minor changes.

Hope you like it despite the horrible pics of the model but i will do better pics for the web.

I hope i can launch the web the next week and so the preorder list.

Well, the horrible pics..
