Is this blog going to be the only place where you will post regularly, or are you still going to post in D.net as well?

 Would you be so kind as to add in your signature the link to your blog?
It would allow anyone viewing your exceptional artwork to direclty click in there and see where you're at.
Danke shön.

Hi all,
the temple is still fighting it´s bloody war against our hatred high elfs. Here a pic of my executioner Champ, leader of my 14 men strong executioner unit. I hope you like him. He is still ver WIP. The rough works on the freehands is done and I can start the correction work in the next days and finish the rest of his armour.

Pardon me while I pick my jaw up off the floor!

If he is still 'rough' and 'work in progress'... wow. I can't wait to see the finished version. Awesome work. Simply awesome.

The freehand on the cloak is just amazing. There is is reason why you won another Golden Demon in Cologne last month (a big congratulations are in order here: Congratulations :D ). Technically the painting is -if not very nearly, then very actually perfect. I'm not a fan of the metal though, I think it is too bright for dark elves  .

@ all
many thanks for the compliments.

@ vladdrak,
the NMM isn´t finished. The glazes are still missing. Because of that I need a lighter basic NMM because the glaze darken it, that´s always sonething you shoul take into account when working with glazes.

Gorgeous indeed :) The only thing I'm not 100% sold on is the blue tint in the hair.

May I ask which brand of grass tufts you are using? And where I can order them? :) I've been looking at the Army Painter turfs but they're a bit more brownish.

Maybe one day you'll wish you'd not made your scenery project past the base of your model. But when that happens, you can compare this ^ to the three colour minimum opposite, and tell the guy your paintwork gives +1 attack. Per second.

Looks like the blood on the champions sword and the details on the mantle was made in photoshop! (it is that impressive!)

Hi all,
I will answer feedback tomarrow, until then, here my next piece. It goes on with more Khainite Followers. Here my ASB which I started 2 years ago and is now on my workbench again. Many parts of the miniatures, especially the NMM are a bit old style and experimental and have to be repainted. I started yesterday paining his face and today I added the gold linings on the armour and painting more red parts. I hope you like him:

@ Malus99,
Many thx!

@ Setomidor,
there are three possibilities to create shades in white areas, a warm, a cold and a neutral. The neutral with greys will look very lifeless, better use one with a temperature. I decieded here for a cold variant as contrast to the warm overall look of the miniature!

The grass is from MININATUR which I ordered in this Shop: http://www.fredericus-rex.de/shop2010/index.php but I think the stuff is available by a lot of other Dealers as well.

@ Layne,
the scenery on its base is part of a bigger scene for this unit, which can be seen here:

Image

@ Truant,
many many thanks for these kind words. I can assure you, that everything is painted on this miniature ;)

@ all, here the latest progress on the BSB:

Image

I´m not very happy with the freehand on the cloak, but perhaps this will change in the following days.

Wonderful work as always GeOrc! The face of your Battle Standard Bearer looks warmer than the skin tones of some of your other models. Did you change your recipe or is it just the lighting of the picture?

Also I love to see people using continuous basing as your showed in your picture though for some reason few painters take the time to do it. I expect your Corsair unit will really shine with that under their feet!

@ Lord Skrolk,
many thanks!

@ phierlihy,
also many thanks! I created my normal skin tone on base of bleached Bone and use warlock Purple as glaze for the warmth.
Oh, and the bases are for my executioner uni ;)

@ all,
