Wyches -> Dark Elf Witches and Shades +PICS+

Post by faeli-n »

My camera-work has never been very good, and so first of all I will offer up my apologies.

I've converted 22 Witch Elves (2 unit-fillers make this a unit of 30) from Dark Eldar Wyches, and then I used the male parts to make some Shades for the army too. They're great models to work with:

What's this I see? Another Druchii member from Scotland? Nice :D

Looking good so far, would love to see them painted, though!!

I like it. Any more shots of the models (complete unit?)

What other parts did you use? Corsair box (or just left over parts?)

Yeah, sure, he's a few group shots below. Also, yes, the majority of swords/knives were the only piece of conversion (apart from removal etc of bombs from the Wyches) and they mostly came from the Corsair kits.

Looks like a very solid conversion. I'm very curious to see how they paint up, however, as they still look a bit more techno-punk than fantasy (because of the jackets and such). However, I bet with paint that issue will disappear as the unit comes together.

Interesting to see the Slaaneshi beast in there. What's that about?

Thanks!

My army has a Serpent theme: all banners are serpents, shields etc.

I have converted four Seekers to be sea-serpents (and will paint them like Mackerel colours) and these are the unit-fillers in my WE and Corsair units.
