Post by van Awful »

Does anybody play it? Is it the same scale as Warhammer? i'm asking because of this model

if it's the same scale, it would make a fine shade assassins i think!

Nice mini - I have a few hordes models from them and they are pretty close to the same size.

It should fit just fine. You should start playing Warmachine, btw.

It's a great game, very different from GW games though in that its rules are exact, so it's more like chess. But yes, it is just as expensive. You can start playing with way fewer models (and thus less spending of time and money), but you'll buy everything your faction has in the end, so... yeah.

I think WM is 30mm. In any case for just the one figure that you're looking at it won't be a problem. I seen people use the whole 'Hunters unit as shades; very nice they are too.

The models are slightly but noticeably bigger in scale.

i converted to warmachine a year ago. i use some figures from warhammer (cause citadel miniatures are generally superior). warmachine is 30mm scale, so it is slightly bigger than the 28mm of warhammer, but it wont really be noticed in a unit.

The big difference is that warmachine is an absolutely superior game in every single way (note GAME, the hobby aspect of warhammer is better). I suggest you all join me on the dark side :P
seriously, i played warhammer for 18 years, tried warmachine for two weeks and never looked back. its that big a difference.

here is some of my warmachine painting for those interedted.
