Shadowblade miniature
Hello guys - haven't postet here for a very long time! Feels a bit like comming home ^^
Need some help:
I am looking for the AWESOME mini of a guy, who sculpted shadowblade which looked exactly like the artwork in the DE rule book (6th edition i think). Since its probably against copyrights I can't upload the picture and I cannot find a link, maybe because it's a bit older.
The model had a flying cape - of course - and in the pic the assasin was running towards reader... (was basically the best pictues of shadowblade that time) the model was quite famous back then, so I hope some of you guys remember and can show me a link to some pictures, I really would like to compare it to the new model ^^
It's NOT the offical GW model, just a great single work...
Thanks a lot in advance and have a great time with the new rules, book and models of course!! ;-)
Best regards,
Sai'

Re: Shadowblade miniature
If you mean the shadowblade that was released for storm of chaos alongside the blind eltharion (if you placed thsm against each other they looked like if they were fighting) then I have him. New shadowblade is far more dynamic.

as I wrote: "It's NOT the offical GW model, just a great single work..."
so no - you don't have that model, because only 1 model like this exists!
no one else having an idea?

Doesn't technically reposting artwork in this case count as fair use?

Re: Shadowblade miniature
Why in the world would it be against any copyright to post directly a reduction of an artwork? As long as you don't claim it is yours, of course.Saithis wrote:Since its probably against copyrights I can't upload the picture and I cannot find a link, maybe because it's a bit older.
The copyright protects full pages's scan of GW books, for example, but you're allowed to post small extracts.
If it is a pic of a model, then the model is protected, not the pics.

Calisson some countries have no fair use laws, and reposting an image without consent from the rights holder is actually considered a breach of copyright.
Some countries, my own Sweden for example, has removed fair use entirely when it comes to digital reproductions.

Re: Shadowblade miniature
If you mean this assassin, I can't remember who made it, I just have the photos stored on my hard drive.
Awesome conversion indeed.

That would be Admin Tom "Thomas List" who's made that conversion

Re: Shadowblade miniature
Have you tried searching on www.coolminiornot.com? If you search their site for "dark elf assassin" or "shadowblade", you get some really nice miniatures as a result.

Re: Shadowblade miniature
Hello Saithism, welcome back.
I wonder if that was Georc, or LionofFlanders. Those guys are incredible.
If it was green and white, it might have been Malekith's;

Note that he no longer has his domain registered, so only the thumbnail can be viewed there.

Is another one that comes to mind, I have a lot of bookmarked and saved stuff on my old machine.. I should be able to look for more later.
