Crossbowmen with shields? How do you build them?
I´ve tried to put shields on the models of the new core set, and there isn´t really a way to do it. I´m considering putting the old shields on their backs instead, will look great when viewed from behind. Do you have any ideas on how to do it another way?

I'm going to put them on the back too when I'll make them.

Stick them on the back - looks great and really builks out the model.
Some people have had success in attaching them to the forearm so they can be used to rest the Crossbow on, but the point of the shield makes it look a little awkward in my opinion (though you could resolve this by clipping the point off and modelling them as being stuck into the ground).

I'm lazy so in my RXB units with shields I have a couple of sword and shield guys in the front row to represent it.

What about crossbows slung on the back instead of shields? Front row with shields ^ also good.

Re: Crossbowmen with shields? How do you build them?
The last warrior kit had a few separate crossbows, trickier with this bunch but I could cut out a few crossbows. I like the idea of the first rank holding shields to cover the back ranks who are ready with crossbows. That way I can see the shields on my warriors backs and my opponent can see their shields from the front. Or not, two different models could cause problems when changing formation or mixing units. I´ll just go with the old shields, I have a few dozen left, and strap them to the backs of my warriors.
