Re: Coop's Crimson Dark Elves
Coming along nicely. Thanks for the update, they are looking good.
Re: Coop's Crimson Dark Elves
Hey! Sorry it has been so long since I have posted any pictures. I was without my paints and models for the summer and had to put together some daemons for a tournament a few weeks ago.
I just finished up a dreadlord on foot. I decided to be a little bit more subtle with the red this time. I put it on the dragon's belly and then a little bit washed into the chain loincloth. I think the model turned out pretty well and I think he'll be a good model for Tullaris.

Nice little dragon. Thanks for the update.

I just finished up some cold one knights. I think they turned out pretty well and I am really happy with the color scheme.

The bellies are
Base: Rakarth Flesh
Wash: Reikland Fleshshade
Highlgiht: Pallid Wych Flesh
I ended up just dry brushing on the pallid wych flesh because it was taking forever doing it normally.

Re: Coop's Crimson Dark Elves
Striking colour scheme - love the purple and red - so punchy - and the pale bellies stop it feeling too crazy. Nice work.

Nice cold ones!
I have seen some cold ones with similar color scheme but I like how you did underbellies.

No new color schemes to post, but I did finished 20 more executioners and took a couple shots of them all ranked up. I think they look pretty cool when they're in horde formation. I'm going to try to finish up a BWS next to put in the unit.
Also, thanks for the nice comments everyone!

It has been a little while so I thought I'd do a quick update. I'm currently working on 20 warlocks and 15 dark riders. I've got the horses done and now moving onto the bodies. The ones with the purple chests are going to be warlocks and the ones with silver chests will be dark riders. I love the horses for these kits; they look crazy.
Re: Coop's Crimson Dark Elves
Thanks jvh792!
Just finished up the dark riders. I'm going to finish up the warlock torsos next.

One of the best painted new DR I've seen.
Great colour choice and execution

Re: Coop's Crimson Dark Elves
The basing looks great - very different feel - you should try some of that dead grass flock to add a bit more dimension to it.
Re: Coop's Crimson Dark Elves
Thanks for the kind words T.D. and Amboadline!
Thanks for the suggestion Cultofkhaine. Dead grass flock would definitely pop well and fit the color scheme.

Dark riders are looking great along with the rest of the army.. Have you got 35 cavalry in total or are you magnetising? Either way you are going to end up with a fantastic looking army.

Thanks! I've got 35 in total. I have 10 dark riders with the hoods, 5 with the helmets, and then 20 warlocks on the way. I decided to just get the cav done in one fell swoop. After having finished all those rank and file models, I think I'm going to make my next couple projects some big solo models
Re: Coop's Crimson Dark Elves
I just finished up 19 warlocks. The last 1 is going to be my mounted sorceress model, which I should have done in a couple of days now. I am planning on finishing her, 4 bolt throwers, and a BSB cold one and I'll be done with my 2400 point list, which is pretty exciting.
Here are some of the warlocks. I introduced in a new color with the blue weapons and eyes, which I thought was a good move. The dark riders turned out a little heavy on the red, so I tried not to use it too much on the warlocks. I also went with a different skin color since they cursed and what not.

Re: Coop's Crimson Dark Elves
Here are a couple picture of my dark steed mounted sorceress (sorcerer? Not 100% what the gender is yet on this one). She's got some sort of staff of power that has been tainted by chaos, warping her hand. The bit is a banner from DoC daemonettes.
