Witch Elf skin
Im currently working on a unit of witch elves but I can't quite figure out a good recipe for pale skin. Im trying to go for something lighter than what you'd generally see in my PLOG. My recipe is something some light skin tone, highlighted with Elf Flesh (older paint) and then a fine highlight with Elf Flesh/Skull white. What do you folks use for pale skin?

Re: Witch Elf skin
For large areas of skin like witch elves, I like to prime white and then wash liberally with a very diluted, rather dark skin tone, and then highlight with increasingly paler skin tones. The white prime + very thin wash (just toss loads of it on there, really) should leave it nicely obvious where to apply the next layers of paint.
Mixing elf flesh or the like with a not-entirely-white colour like skull white, bleached bone or even slaneeshi grey can create a variety of very nice looking pale skin variants.

Re: Witch Elf skin
I use P3 paints for the flesh tones, and my usual is Midlund Flesh as the base, with Ryn Flesh as the highlight and Khardic Flesh for a shadow.
For Witches and sorceresses, I am using Ryn as the base, with Midlund as the shadow, and a mix of Ryn+GW's Pale Wyche Flesh mix for the highlight.

Re: Witch Elf skin
If it helps, the current box cover Witch Elves are Kislev Flesh base with a Reikland wash and Pallid Wych Flesh highlights.

Re: Witch Elf skin
Awesome, thanks for the recommendations. I'll dig through my paints and see what I come up with. I'll post pics to my PLOG...eventually.

Re: Witch Elf skin
Not sure if you've found a solution yet, but I'm experimenting with:
Base- 50/50 Rakarth Flesh/Slaanesh Grey
Wash- mix of Reikland Fleshshade/Asurmen Blue.
1- Rehighlight with base and leave recesses showing.
2- Add small amount of Pallid Wychflesh to base.
3- Add more.
(3a- You can add still more for smoother finishes.)
4- Pure Pallid Wychflesh.
5- Extreme highlight of pure White.
Optional-
Paint the teeth with Rakarth.
Thinned wash of red/purple/brown/blue under the eyes.
Straight wash of Carroburg Crimson on the bottom lip.
Hope this helps

Re: Witch Elf skin
It does, thanks! I just got back to the States and promptly bought a ton of paint so hopefully I'll have some witch elves to show soon.
