Trolling GW the creative way

Post by Gnosis »

Ladies and gents, I present to you my newest work, an entry for my FLGS's painting competition. We were each given a monopose Stormcast to work with - I think it's the same one that came with a WD issue - but were allowed to convert it. As you can see from the name, I tried to convey my disdain for the models GW has put out the last year or two. Nevertheless, I also put a bit of time and effort into trying to make the model look as good as it could.

Head, hands etc. are from the Zombie kit (hypocrite! these were sculpted the old way!) and the gravestones are from a Renedra set which is really ace: http://www.renedra.co.uk/product.php?product=119

Hope you like! ;)

That's pretty cool - and looks way more awesome than the standard stormcast mini. I always thought that the stormcasts would make pretty good Slaanesh-themed Chaos warriors but I never even thought of making one into a zombie

very nice

Looks really good, even though I don't agree with your premise. :)

Nicely done! The star above the zombie head made me chuckle :)

Thanks guys. The conversion took no time whatsoever - everything just fell together this way. Not a spot of greenstuff was used. I also painted him up over the course of a single off-day, I think it only took me around 3-4 hours excluding drying times and the base.
