Pinning the Manticore Beastmaster

Post by Bobba Looba »

Does anyone have experience with pinning the arm of the beastmaster on the old manticore?
It has a very small connection and it already came off when I used only superglue.
I'd like to try and pin it, but it is so thin, I'm not sure it will work.

It can be done; it just takes a sufficiently small pin and drill bit.

Well, I gave it a try and.. it did not go as good as I hoped. But still ok, I guess.
Drilling the upper arm was hard. The small rim around the hole in the upper arm kept crumbling and losing material, so it's about 2-3mm shorter than it was. Which is about 1/3 of the upper arm.

Luckily, you don't really notice too much and I'll be able to smooth it up with some green stuff.

It's magnetized, pinned, green stuffed and based. Almost ready for paint.

Green stuff hides a multitude of sins.

Yes, it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
By the way, I tried the liquid green stuff, but wans't really thrilled with the result. Anybody has some tips on how to use that?

It's really only good for filling small gaps. Even then, it can take several applications to fill even a fairly small area.

It's not actually any sort of putty. It's more of a really thick paint than anything else, except you can sand or file it to a smooth finish.

Honestly that stuff is only useable on finecast, which released around the same time (Likely because of the finecast holes and defects).

It worked well on my finecast Night Lords helmets.
