Some really interesting discussion going on here - it's great to see so many strong views on the subject and definitely something we should continue to talk about further as part of our hobby.

Personally I live in Australia as well and have been in the hobby now for over ten years. The prices for GW products over the past few years is ridiculous, nearly double of what the rest of the world is paying for sure. I would love to walk into a store and stock up, but with five kids that's impossible - the large majority of my hobby comes from ebay or second hand.

Is that referring to myself and Cultofkhaine having 11 kids between us? I just had to look it up....I think I got it right.....
Cultofkhaine you have 5 kids and still manange to put forth some great stuff, I struggle to find the time.....
I actually got my gear out last night after not painting anything for ages and found most of my paint pots had dried up and then when I went to paint something I thought...."Far out, these things are tiny!" Then I looked at stuff I've painted over the years and then thought...."How the hell did I manage to paint any of it...."
Then I just lost interest and had a beer.....
