it would appear - from the pricing, that Cold One Knights are going to be in £12 boxes - as are the Black Ark Corsairs - I love the black theyve used their full name

this would suggest to me to confirm that they are going to be plastic boxes of them: cant wait to see what the corsairs will look like!

The Hydra seems to be costing £25 so its not increasing - unlike the greater daemons: I wonder what that suggests? Can't really determine whether it'll be a new model or not from that

I'm also VERY intrigued as to who Lokhir Fellheart is? I cant say it rings any bells in my brain for character names...

Any thoughts?

Oh and also, were their release dates for all these goodies?

I'm guessing if these have leaked before the Hordes of Chaos ones, then that might (but not neccesarily) suggest that we're next!

Thanks for the info. I googled Lokhir Fellheart and found a site that says he is captin of the corsairs, http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?p=8 ... ost8813932 not sure if it is true. I want to see these dreadlords.

one ofour new heros is to be a corsair with a magic helmet that looks like a squide and he carrys a pair of magic swords. the helmet is said to date before the old ones. im guessing thats him then

I must object however to the "corsair special character"-thingy...IMO, any of our "guys" good enough to be of atleast some importance shouldn't go to the battlefield on foot...slugging it out with the rest of the common infantery is for the lesser races..He should atleast have a Cold one or a dark steed o:.

Seeing shadowblade there gives me hope that he will be included in the army book this time, not as some website supplement. Not everyone wants to play against supplements

It may be speculation but looking closely at the catalog numbers might lead to some answers...it seems that those minis that are simply being repackaged into 5 figure boxes whether with or without command have a number sequence GAW-85-XX WHF DE whatever, while others, mostly expected to be new sculpts number sequrnce is GAW-85-XX N DE whatever. The added "N" meant to designate "new" ? If so it would seem that our witches are having some change of command, Malus on cold one will be the dread lord on cold one, while the new character doesn't follow that number sequence rule...any other thoughts ?

yeah true - does seem a little odd...

There were Cold One Knights in the Spearhead IIRC so surely that should change? Or Maybe the spearhead will merely be exactly the same but with the new models switching places with the old ones??

Or, you just buy the same models we currently have? Although mind you that doesnt explain the appearance of executioners etc in this list. That being said - the new daemons are missing models in their due date list in WD IIRC...

This might be a case of new 'numbers' for ordering purposes, e.g. if it didn't change (packaging or new models) it's not on the list. I'm going to my friends store tonight and do a bit of investigating. So far, he's been right on about anything dealing with ordering. Plus, he can't keep his mouth shut about anything! !lol!

Clearly a list of what's new or repackaged.

Like so :

Witch Elves = repackage, probably into box of 5

Exec command = repackage
Black Gaurd = repackage

Assassins = probably repackage, so that there's more than one in a blister?

Dreadlord = new
Dreadlord CO = new
SuperSorc CO/wtf? = new
SuperSorc = new
Morathi DP = probably repackage
Shadowblade = repackage

Notable absences. No COC, right, no Manti, right, no BD, right, also no Warriors, no Dark Riders, no Harpies, no Cauldron. So those things will all stay as they are, yeah?
All of which fits with rumour and recent trend.

Maybe Dreadlord replaces HB, then again maybe Dreadlord is to Highborn as Grand Master is to General. So we have another tier of Lord level characters?

Where are the BSB models?

Where is the Cauldron? If rumours of it being on wheels are true it is either a new model or a return to the older one.

The Dreadlord seems to be metal rather than the plastic hero that the other recent races have gotten. The local GW guy said that all races were getting a plastic character.

Also what about Malekith and the dragon? Malekith will get a book but not model???

Notice the fact that the Dreadlord (on foot) has the N coding but the mounter version does not. I think this refers to Malus Darkblade.

the GW US sight recently pulled most of the dark elf line off the for sale part..but they left COC's up.. this goes with the rumor I read in a couple places that they are _not_ re-doing the chariot.

They aren't redoing the chariot. That list is what they are sending out. As for the highborn, I'm thinking its Malus possibly (hopefully) repackaged with a new cold one. No BSB which doesn't surprise me at all.

As for Malekith, you can buy the new HE dragon and make a Malekith. That kit is far to universal to expect a new model for every army. Its all about the money for GW and it would not be smart business wise to make a new dragon kit. I wish they would make 1 sprue that was new parts for the dragon that would fit for Dark Elves, Empire, Chaos etc.

Cauldron, I don't think its going back on the wheels. Its a possibility but I really really really doubt it.

Because the current theory is that the new raptor cold ones will only be used as mounts. The bovine ones that we currently have will remain in use for the chariot.

This list is from a wholesale distributor, intended to be used by retailers to plan their ordering. It probably has at least a three-month lead time before these will be shipped (so, August?), and it indicates the 'first wave' of new releases for the Dark Elves.

As you can see, we are getting some new plastics, and some of the current line are being repackaged to conform with GW's new style.

What we cannot do with this list is determine every new thing the DE are getting. For example, the Spearhead is listed- and spearheads seem to contain most or all of the new releases- but the contents of the spearhead ar not known. We may well be getting plastic Dark Riders, or a plastic hero/bsb kit, and they may be in the spearhead box, but not on the schedule for separate release until September. Gotta release things in dribs & drabs, you know, to keep us interested.

Easy- GW starts putting plastic raptor-style cold ones in the chariot box instead of plastic chunky-style cold ones. Much the same way as they start putting five witch elves in a box instead of ten. With a good three to four months before the new stuff rolls out, they have plenty of time to switch over, and sell off the inventory on hand, to boot.

For the chariot its possible that they are getting new ones in the box or the cold ones simply won't change.

As for dark riders, If they get remodelled I'll perpetually admit I was wrong in my sig. It isn't going to happen, at least for the first wave.

@Azure: I'll remember that one. BUT I hope it never happens too. I really like our DR, except maybe a bit of a change for the horse.

I am also hoping they aren't just renaming certain Items because of the book and not changing the models behind them. Especially that nasty Sorceress model we have on CO.

On the whole I'm enthused by this list, I may have to get one more box of corsairs before they get replaced by plastic though. I too hope that the sorceress models are replaced with new ones, I'm guessing they will be if the new cold one is accross the boardfo heroes as well as knights.

The sorceress models are the only ones from the current range I don't have I've converted or used old models or other manufacturers for mine as the current batch are terrible.

There was mentioned a "pamphlet showing upcoming releases" someone spoke about either on this or similar thread, I wonder if it's posible if anyone has the means, to scan and post such a pamphlet ? I'm also curious to know if a male DE noble is now called a dreadlord, what is a female noble or HB called ?
